Russia's communications regulator, Roskomnadzor, has blocked the messaging platform Discord for violating Russian law. Discord was asked to remove nearly 1,000 items deemed illegal last week but did not comply. This is the latest foreign platform to face restrictions in Russia, joining Twitter (now X), Facebook, and Instagram. Discord has not yet responded to the situation. Users can use apps like ByeDPI or Unicorn HTTPS to bypass DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) for accessing the service.
