Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game has received an extensive All-In Edition unboxing, revealing premium expansions, miniatures, terrain packs, and gameplay content before the July 20 preorder deadline.

Despite the six-year gap from its initial release, Cyberpunk 2077 is still one of the most influential RPGs of this decade for all the right reasons. Initially released under immense criticism, the game has now gone on to become one of the greatest redemption arcs in video game history due to its consistent updates, numerous technical fixes, and even the recently released Phantom Liberty expansion. And now, CD Projekt Red’s cyberpunk world will make its return out of video games, thanks to Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game!
In advance of its final preorder window, publisher Go On Board has released an unboxing video of the huge All-In Edition, which gives fans the biggest sneak peek yet of what exactly comes in the package.
A Massive All-In Edition Packed With Content
Just from the newly-released eight-minute unboxing video, we can see just how grand Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game is becoming. This one is for both collectors and board game lovers, where All-In pledge boasts some really incredible play material and accessories.
The package consists of all the main expansions available for the campaign. In this way, you can experience different story lines and missions in Night City. The All-In Edition will provide:
Phantom Liberty Expansion
Trauma Team Expansion
Edgerunners Expansion
Johnny Silverhand & NCPD Expansion
Terrain Pack visual upgrade
Stretch Goals Box
Mission cards
Character boards
Room tiles
Unpainted miniatures
Additional gameplay components and accessories
The sheer amount of content makes it clear that this isn't a simple board game adaptation. Instead, it's a fully realized tabletop RPG experience inspired by the rich world established in Cyberpunk 2077.
Phantom Liberty Continues to Shape Cyberpunk's Legacy
The evolution of Cyberpunk 2077 throughout the last few years should be appreciated. After the tough start in 2020, the developers put lots of effort into rebuilding the reputation of the game by implementing regular updates, optimizing mechanics, fixing bugs, improving AI, and enhancing graphics.
The release of Phantom Liberty was a new milestone for the series with new story arcs, improved game mechanics, and optimized performance, making the title one of the top RPGs out there.
This success has not only brought new opportunities in the gaming industry but also made it possible to create a bigger franchise.
Expanding Beyond Video Games
Cyberpunk has been developing itself to become something more than just one RPG. After the popularity of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, CD Projekt Red is going on with the development of the universe with different media types.
The coming board games prove the concept. In addition to the Cyberpunk TCG, the board game celebrates the history of the franchise with its origin being the tabletop RPG created decades ago before the appearance of Cyberpunk 2077.
For the long-time fans, this means becoming full circle for the video game to create a new tabletop experience.
Rich Worldbuilding Makes the Board Game Possible
One of the reasons why Cyberpunk 2077 makes such a good board game is due to the depth of the world created in it. The universe of Night City is teeming with recognizable factions, unique characters, companies, mercenaries, and narratives that go beyond the story of the main game.
With the different expansions available in the All-In Edition, there are many opportunities for players to explore different perspectives within the same universe without breaking the lore of the game.
From Johnny Silverhand to Trauma Team and other Edgerunners content, the board game seems to embrace every aspect of the Cyberpunk universe.
Cyberpunk's Future Looks Bright
Although CD Projekt Red is concentrating its development resources on the next Witcher game right now, the Cyberpunk line is certainly not on hold.
The popularity of board games, card games, animated features, and sequels proves that the franchise has just started its journey. Just as the other franchises like Fallout, Assassin’s Creed, and The Elder Scrolls, the Cyberpunk series is becoming a multimedia franchise which will be able to develop within several entertainment platforms for many years ahead.
If the following Cyberpunk games will expand the universe of the games, then the board games may become even more interesting with each release with new expansions, characters, and stories.
Collectors who wish to obtain the All-In Edition will not have very much time left to decide. Pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game will conclude on July 20th, which will be the last chance for many players to purchase the All-In Edition before it is less widely available through retailers.
Given its impressive roster of expansions, high-quality miniatures, and extensive terrain pieces, the All-In Edition seems poised to become one of the most ambitious board games based on a contemporary video game series.
