Gemini Live Now Integrates Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and Maps on Mobile Devices

Google's artificial intelligence-driven assistant, Gemini Live, is receiving a huge boost with deep integration of common Google apps such as Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Google Keep, and Google Maps. The long-awaited feature, which first broke out at Google I/O 2025, now becomes available to mobile devices, allowing people to take real-time actions on a conversation without ever having to leave the app they're in.

With this integration, Gemini Live is no longer just a conversational AI; it’s becoming a fully functional productivity hub. Whether you’re planning your day, taking notes, setting reminders, or navigating to a location, Gemini Live now brings these capabilities into a seamless, voice-driven experience.

Real-Time Interaction with Google Apps

Earlier, app-specific extensions were restricted to the core Gemini experience, but with this rollout, Gemini Live now includes mid-task interrupt and real-time app control. For instance, while in the middle of conversing with the assistant, you can simply say:

  • "Create an event tomorrow at 10 AM in Google Calendar"

  • "Set a reminder in Google Tasks for my meeting notes"

  • "Add this idea to Google Keep"

  • "Show me nearby coffee shops on Google Maps"

The integration performs well with direct app references and natural language searches alike, making it user-friendly for everyone. On-screen indicators will appear whenever an app is in use, and some actions even have an "Undo" feature, which allows you to take control in case you make edits by accident.

Boosted Productivity Through Contextual Actions

One of the standout features is the way Gemini Live integrates with other current activities on your device. For example, during video calling or screen sharing, it can recognize dates, locations, and other pertinent information on your screen and provide contextually relevant suggestions such as making a Calendar event out of a recognized date or summoning Maps directions to a noted location.

This implies Gemini Live isn't only reactive, but proactive as well, presenting you with doable options in the midst of a conversation or task. The aim is to reduce flipping between apps, maintaining your concentration while still being productive.

Voice-First Access for Calendar, Tasks, Notes, and Maps

The update enables users to add Calendar events, send Task reminders, note something down in Google Keep, and receive extensive place details through Google Maps all with a single voice command. Being hands-free makes it ideal for multitasking, such as driving, meetings, or other tasks where typing in with one's hands is not feasible.

For instance, if you are on a work call and someone mentions a meeting scheduled for next week, you can simply ask Gemini Live to schedule it into your Calendar without having to pause your activity.

Rollout and Availability

Following weeks of trials on Android 15 and Android 16, the update is finally hitting users on both the stable and beta versions of the Google app. iOS users are not left behind either, as the roll-out extends to iPhones, making Gemini Live's cutting-edge productivity features cross-platform.

If you still haven't got the update, double-check that you have the newest version of the Google app and head to your device's settings to activate Gemini Live's new features. This launch is plainly designed to make Gemini Live a centralized AI-powered assistant that does all communication, planning, and navigation in one smooth package.
