Honor Win Turbo

The Honor phone brand is set to introduce a new entry into its range of Win battery phones in the form of the Honor Win Turbo. Following the introduction of the impressive Honor Win and Honor Win RT, which feature flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chips along with huge batteries, the phone maker is now looking to launch an affordable alternative to its premium models.

According to Honor, the new Honor Win Turbo will be launched in China on May 29. Although the company hasn't disclosed the complete list of specs for the upcoming phone, some details have been leaked online by now.

Honor Win Turbo

As per the reliable source Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Honor Win Turbo that is expected soon might have quite a few similarities in specs with the Honor Power 2. Should these rumors prove to be true, the phone will definitely become one of the most exciting battery-focused phones in its category.

While the Honor Win series of the past was known for featuring flagship SoCs from Qualcomm called Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Honor Win Turbo will apparently come powered by the Dimensity 8500 Elite processor from MediaTek.

Moreover, it is rumored that this phone can have up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage capacity. It will provide users with an opportunity to multitask, play games, watch movies and use applications without any issues. From this perspective, the company seems to target users interested in using performance-oriented smartphones but does not want to spend too much money as the Win Turbo costs less than premium smartphones of the same line.

As far as the appearance of the smartphone is concerned, it is reported that its front side will have a 1.5K LTPS flat screen with thin bezels and a premium metal frame. Therefore, despite being positioned as an affordable smartphone, Honor may continue to emphasize flagship-like design options.

As for cameras, it is expected that the Honor Win Turbo will have a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS technology. In addition to that, the smartphone is going to be equipped with a camera module with a horizontal matrix design, which will make the device look modern and attractive. Besides, it can also have a 5MP ultra-wide rear camera.

The smartphone might come equipped with a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Although the camera specifications would not compete with those of ultra-premium flagship smartphones, they would provide decent enough performance for social media aficionados and photography enthusiasts.

One notable feature difference between the regular Honor Win smartphones and the upcoming Honor Win Turbo might be the inclusion of the cooling system. As per the leaked images, it seems like the Honor Win Turbo would not have the cooling fan that was included in the original Honor Win.

But the most notable aspect of the smartphone is likely to be its mammoth 10,000mAh battery. There has been no official confirmation from Honor regarding the battery capacity, but considering how “Win” smartphones are associated with gigantic batteries, it is highly possible that Honor will keep up the trend.

In case this turns out to be true, the Honor Win Turbo will certainly become one of the very few popular smartphones with such an enormous battery capacity. It will thus become very appealing to gamers, frequent travelers, power users, and anyone looking for a smartphone with several days' worth of battery life without having to worry about charging frequently.

Additionally, the smartphone is also rumored to be equipped with 80W fast charging capability, making it possible to charge this enormous battery even if it takes time.

Since the official announcement date for the smartphone is slated for May 29 in China, more information on this product is expected to emerge soon. While we do not know how much it will cost and where it will be available yet, the smartphone has already attracted quite a bit of interest from enthusiasts of smartphones.

If it turns out that Honor is capable of integrating a huge battery with good hardware, attractive design, and affordable pricing, then the Honor Win Turbo will be one of the most popular mid-range smartphones this year.
