Infinix GT 50 Pro Gaming Phone Launch Features Specs and Expected Price

The gaming mobile phone category is becoming more crowded, but Infinix is prepared to take its next step forward. The brand has unveiled the unveiling date of its upcoming Infinix GT 50 Pro, which will happen on April 24 in some selected markets around the world.

Infinix GT 50 Pro

This new phone is set to succeed its predecessor, the Infinix GT 30 Pro, with a strong focus on gaming rather than trying to cater to a wider audience.

However, the GT 50 Pro does not deviate from the design and it was done deliberately. Instead, it comes with a similar cutting-edge design with gaming-related elements visible in the back of the smartphone. The company hints at a red and silver coloring of the device which is definitely a nod towards the gaming crowd.

On the front of the gadget, we have the hole-punched design and on the back side there is only a duo-lens camera module.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is built around gaming performance, starting with its display:

  • 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel

  • 144Hz refresh rate

  • Claimed support for 144fps gameplay in select titles

While the specs look impressive on paper, real-world performance will ultimately depend on game optimization and thermal management areas where many gaming phones struggle to maintain consistency.

One standout feature returning from its predecessor is the “Pressure-Sense GT Trigger.”

These shoulder triggers:

  • Sit along the right edge

  • Mimic console-style controls

  • Offer a tactile advantage in FPS and racing games

In a segment dominated by spec wars, this is still a rare and meaningful differentiation. Most rivals focus on chipsets and displays—but skip physical gaming controls altogether.

Heat dissipation is a key factor when it comes to gaming phones, and Infinix appears to be taking it more seriously now.

In the GT 50 Pro, there is a liquid-cooled system that can be seen from its back cover. The idea is straightforward:

  • Ensure steady performance

  • Avoid overheating problems

  • Provide consistent frame rates for long periods

While it may not necessarily beat conventional vapor chamber cooling solutions, it definitely does the trick for hardcore mobile gamers.

Under the hood, leaks suggest the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, paired with:

  • 12GB RAM

  • Up to 512GB storage

Camera hardware appears secondary:

  • 50MP main sensor

  • 8MP ultrawide

  • 13MP front camera

This confirms the strategy this is not a camera-first or ultra-slim device. It’s built for users who prioritize performance and gaming features over everything else.

The previous model launched at ₹24,999, putting it in direct competition with performance-focused devices from brands like iQOO and POCO.

If the GT 50 Pro stays in a similar range:

  • It could be a strong pick for mobile gamers

  • Especially with triggers + cooling as added value

However, if pricing climbs higher, buyers may start comparing it with more well-rounded smartphones offering better cameras or balanced performance.

Strikingly, the release date places GT 50 Pro not far off from yet another big launch—OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra due out on April 28.

The new phone is rumored to come with a game controller attachment, pointing to an emerging trend:

👉 The manufacturers are not just beefing up their devices; they are equipping them with gaming-friendly hardware.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro doesn’t try to be everything and that’s actually its strength.

Instead of chasing mainstream appeal, it doubles down on:

  • Gaming controls

  • High refresh rate display

  • Aggressive cooling

  • Performance-focused hardware

If priced right, it could easily become one of the most interesting gaming phones in the mid-range segment.

But its success will hinge on one key factor:

👉 Whether gamers value specialized features like triggers and cooling over a more balanced smartphone experience.
