The Infinix GT 50 Pro is set to launch in India on October 27 with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, a 144Hz AMOLED display, a 6,500mAh battery and an advanced liquid cooling system. Here’s everything you need to know about its expected price, specifications, gaming features, cameras and upgrades over the GT 30 Pro.

Infinix GT 50 Pro

Infinix is set to unveil its new gaming-oriented smartphone, Infinix GT 50 Pro, in India on October 27. The next generation smartphone will follow the legacy of the previous model - Infinix GT 30 Pro, offering many improvements that will enhance gaming experience. The notable specifications include the use of the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipsets, 144Hz AMOLED display, gaming triggers, and a much bigger 6,500mAh battery.

Infinix has disclosed some major information about its next-gen gaming smartphone, whereas the previous release of this smartphone in several foreign countries has provided the consumers with some additional details. In addition, Infinix offers an opportunity to benefit from its liquid cooling system and even a magnetic cooling accessory for those people who prefer mobile gaming and do not want to settle for a mere powerful processor and high refresh rate screen.

Infinix GT 50 Pro India Launch Date and Availability

It has been confirmed by the Infinix brand that the GT 50 Pro will go into the Indian market on October 27. This smartphone will become available via Flipkart. Currently, pre-orders of this phone are accepted on the official Infinix India site.

Those users who are interested in the purchase of the smartphone can pre-order it for Rs 1,999 till October 26. There is also promotion from Infinix with the gift of the Infinix X60 Bluetooth speaker with the purchase. Users are recommended to familiarize themselves with the conditions that apply for making the pre-order on the official site.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro became known globally in certain regions in April 2026. It is the follow-up of GT 30 Pro that was released in June 2025 with such features as a 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip, shoulder triggers and wireless charging. This smartphone was introduced into the market with the starting price of Rs 24,999.

Infinix GT 50 Pro Price in India (Expected)

As for now, the company has not released the Indian price of the GT 50 Pro yet. Nevertheless, according to initial reports, the device could be offered below Rs 45,000, with some sources putting the minimum price around Rs 30,000-Rs 35,000. The actual pricing and variants will be announced at the launch.

To compare, the international version launched in Indonesia at prices equivalent to about Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000 for the variants with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage respectively. Again, these converted prices may not be an accurate reflection of the Indian price as the latter will be affected by factors like local taxes and promotions among others.

In comparison, the Infinix GT 30 Pro was released in India at a price of Rs 24,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model and Rs 26,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. As a result, the new model is expected to be slightly more expensive with its improved processor and increased battery capacity.

In case the Infinix GT 50 Pro is available at a price point of Rs 35,000, then it may appeal to customers who wish to get a phone that is meant only for gaming, along with having gaming controls and other thermal management technologies. On the other hand, a price of around Rs 45,000 may face more competition from other smartphones such as the POCO X8 Pro and the OnePlus Nord CE 6, which have yet to be priced and released.

Infinix GT 50 Pro Design and Build

One of the unique design aspects of Infinix GT 50 Pro lies in its rear design, which highlights its cooling technology through explicit cooling channels. This particular design is known as the Explicit Viewport Design, wherein the cooling technology adds to the future-themed design of the phone.

On a global level, the phone comes in three colors: Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier. For the Indian market, Infinix has launched two colors: Black Abyss and Red Blaze. The dimensions of this phone are 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15mm and weighs around 198 grams. The phone is also rated IP64, making it splash-resistant and dustproof.

When compared to the design of the GT 30 Pro, which has Cyber Mecha Design and customizable lighting at the rear of the phone, Infinix GT 50 Pro looks more hardware oriented due to its explicit cooling. Although the design differentiates the phone from other traditional phones, the increase in thickness and weight might make it less appealing to some people.

For gamers, the design not only differentiates the phone but also shows their intent regarding the importance of heat management in gaming sessions.

Infinix GT 50 Pro Specifications and Features

In addition, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is said to boast an 6.78 inches AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 144Hz. It reportedly provides a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. These details indicate that the phone can be used for fast-paced gaming, scrolling, and viewing media content.

Moreover, the display reportedly provides support for a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz in Game Mode and a touch reporting rate of up to 2,800Hz. This indicates that the phone is designed for better responsiveness during the movement performed by players, targeting opponents and completing other game-related actions.

Curiously, the previous model of the phone already boasted a 144Hz AMOLED display with the peak brightness equal to that of the new one. Therefore, while the phone offers no new features concerning the refresh rate, it still keeps the fast display and focuses on processing power, cooling system, and battery size improvements.

MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate Processor

One of the significant changes here is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. Infinix has decided to switch to the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset in favor of the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate found in the GT 30 Pro in order to get better performance for complex apps and games.

Also, there is an update in terms of storage capacity from UFS 4.0 to UFS 4.1 while keeping LPDDR5X RAM. Of course, the result depends on the memory configuration and software optimisation.

Infinix says that the GT 50 Pro can provide gamers with 144 frames per second in certain games. But it doesn’t mean that all games will work at such speed. It really depends on game development, graphics setting, software and heat condition.

So, in comparison with GT 30 Pro, which could give 120 fps in BGMI, we can expect better gaming performance.

HydroFlow Liquid Cooling System

One of the key aspects highlighted in marketing campaigns promoting the Infinix GT 50 Pro is its ability to cool itself. Specifically, the Infinix GT 50 Pro includes a unique HydroFlow Liquid Cooling System that combines a 7,700-square-millimetre 3D vapour chamber, a micro-pump, and two piezoelectric ceramic plates.

According to the specifications announced by Infinix, it can provide liquid circulation capacity up to 6.5 ml per minute. Such a cooling system is supposed to remove heat from certain components and provide efficient performance during long periods of using the device for playing games.

The previous model, GT 30 Pro, was equipped with a six-layer 3D vapour chamber. In contrast, GT 50 Pro provides a more sophisticated cooling configuration. It can be useful for players of graphically intensive games, especially when used on high frame rates.

It should be noted, however, that the mere specification does not prove the efficiency of the cooling system provided by Infinix. Only independent tests can verify whether the new solution reduces temperatures and minimizes the impact of throttling.

Dedicated Gaming Triggers and Magnetic Cooler

Apart from retaining the pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers that debuted with the previous generation model, Infinix has further enhanced the degree of customisability with the new triggers. The new triggers have the ability to accommodate up to 10 pressure levels and four different input modes which include light press, hard press, left swipe, and right swipe.

With these controls, gamers can use the new triggers to assign different game actions, hence minimising the need to utilise the touchscreen for actions such as aiming and shooting among other in-game commands.

The Indian variant is also likely to include the GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 in-box magnetic cooling accessory. The accessory is intended to offer the necessary cooling in case one engages in intensive gaming sessions and has the ability to charge the device wirelessly through bypass charging.

The presence of this feature will be a unique selling point for the smartphone because, otherwise, it would compete with other performance-oriented smartphones in the market.

Infinix GT 50 Pro Battery and Charging

There is also a noteworthy improvement in terms of battery capacity of the device. The GT 50 Pro has been equipped with a 6,500mAh battery compared to the 5,500mAh battery found in the GT 30 Pro. There is thus an improvement of 1,000mAh, or roughly 18 percent.

This extra capacity will give more power to the phone, which may benefit gaming and watching videos. The larger battery capacity will surely help gamers who tend to play demanding games for a number of hours but will ultimately depend on screen brightness, refresh rate, network connection and processing load.

Charging speeds, on the other hand, have not received any change in this generation. The GT 50 Pro is able to charge at 45W through wires while supporting 30W wireless charging. Though the battery capacity is an excellent addition in this iteration, customers should not expect to find any improvements in maximum charging speeds from its predecessor.

A large battery combined with an improved cooling system could appeal greatly to those who like long gaming sessions on their devices. It will be interesting to see the results of real-life battery tests.

Infinix GT 50 Pro Camera Specifications

When considering the camera hardware found in the Infinix GT 50 Pro, we face another level of complexity. It has a 50-megapixel main rear-facing camera that has optical image stabilization (OIS) and is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. In turn, it features a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the older Infinix GT 30 Pro model boasts a 108-megapixel main rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It becomes evident that there was a decrease in the resolution of the main rear-facing camera.

Nevertheless, one should not forget about the fact that cameras' efficiency is determined not only by megapixels but also by the image processing algorithms and sensors' parameters. The new camera might provide decent photos despite the fact that Infinix has optimized the settings of this camera.

However, potential buyers of this smartphone who prioritize photography along with gaming have to test the performance of its cameras before purchasing this device. Infinix has yet to prove the capabilities of its cameras.

Android 16 and Software Update Policy

When it comes to software, it is anticipated that the Infinix GT 50 Pro will come with Android 16 and the XOS 16 user interface. This will make it have a more updated software platform compared to the GT 30 Pro which had Android 15-based XOS 15 at its inception.

Infinix claims that they will give three years of OS updates and five years of security patches for the global version. This move will increase the attractiveness of the phone, especially for those individuals who like to own their phones for long periods.

The software update policy of the Indian version will be determined at the time of launch. Consumers should note that they will have to inquire about the pre-installed software and gaming software included in it.

Infinix GT 50 Pro vs Infinix GT 30 Pro

The Infinix GT 50 Pro builds on the GT 30 Pro with several hardware changes while retaining some of the same core features.

The most important differences include the move from the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate to the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, an increase in battery capacity from 5,500mAh to 6,500mAh, and the introduction of the HydroFlow Liquid Cooling System. Storage technology also advances from UFS 4.0 to UFS 4.1.

Both smartphones feature 144Hz AMOLED displays, dedicated pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging and 8-megapixel ultrawide cameras. The GT 50 Pro expands trigger customisation and is expected to offer a magnetic cooling accessory in the Indian retail package.

The camera configuration changes from a 108-megapixel primary sensor on the GT 30 Pro to a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS on the GT 50 Pro. This makes camera performance an area worth examining closely when the new smartphone becomes available.

Overall, the GT 50 Pro focuses on improving gaming performance, heat management and endurance rather than significantly changing the display experience.

Should You Wait for the Infinix GT 50 Pro?

The Infinix GT 50 Pro seems to offer a lot of promise for mobile gamers looking for a device with high refresh rate AMOLED display, special gaming controls and a sophisticated cooling solution. The Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip, 6,500mAh battery capacity and the alleged magnetic cooling accessory might allow the GT 50 Pro to stand out in comparison with other smartphones.

Nevertheless, its price point will be essential. With a price tag of Rs 35,000, the GT 50 Pro may seem to be a reasonable pick for consumers focused on gaming-oriented functionality and reliable performance. On the other hand, if the price gets close to Rs 45,000, alternative smartphones may have the upper hand due to their performance, camera capabilities, software optimization and possible discounts.

Finally, the constant 144Hz refresh rate and charging speed indicate that not all components of the smartphone are actually upgraded. In turn, the transition to 50-megapixel main camera demands additional photo tests in practice.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro will launch in India on October 27, when the company is expected to reveal its official price and complete retail details. Buyers should compare the final pricing, memory configurations, included accessories and software update commitments before making a purchase decision.
