Infinix Note 70 Pro Geekbench Listing Reveals Snapdragon Chipset and Android 17
The Infinix Note 70 Pro has reportedly appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon processor, 8GB RAM and Android 17. Here's what the latest listing reveals about its expected specifications, battery, launch date and price in India.

It is expected that the Infinix Note 70 Pro, the latest model in the series of smartphones from the brand, will undergo an important improvement. The future smartphone is mentioned on Geekbench with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, 8 GB of RAM and Android 17. It should be noted that the characteristics of the processor presented in the test do not seem to correspond to those of either the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. This can suggest that Infinix will work with some new chipsets or will customize the current processor.
At the moment, Infinix has not announced the release date and the price of their next generation smartphone. Nevertheless, information about its appearance on Geekbench, together with some previous certifications and leaks of the specifications, gives an insight into what the future version of the Infinix Note 60 Pro will be like.
Infinix Note 70 Pro Geekbench Listing Details
As per the Geekbench listing, Infinix Note 70 Pro has the model number X6766 along with a Qualcomm chipset that comes with the SM7635 chip part number. As per the report, the chipset has one core that is clocked at 2.96GHz, three cores are clocked at 2.71GHz, and four cores are clocked at 2.02GHz. Apart from that, it has the Adreno 810 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and Android 17 by Google.

Talking about performance metrics, the phone got 1,145 in the single-core test while getting 3,523 in the multi-core test. This gives us a preview of its performance metrics but we should know that benchmarking score does not determine the phone's actual usage experience especially for gaming and multitasking.
The most interesting thing is the mix of CPU clocks and the graphics chip. As per our records, the SM7635 part number is linked with both Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chips.
For comparison, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 reportedly uses three CPU clusters with peak clock speeds of 2.7GHz, 2.4GHz, and 1.8GHz. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, meanwhile, does not feature the Adreno 810 GPU mentioned in the listing. These differences suggest that the processor details require further clarification before the chipset's identity can be established.
Could the Infinix Note 70 Pro Use a New Snapdragon Chipset?
This has triggered rumors regarding two possibilities, either Qualcomm is working on a new chipset which can be named as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 5 or it can be an overclocked Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset used by Infinix for testing.
Currently, there is no confirmation regarding both possibilities. While the geekbench listings provide useful information related to the upcoming devices, in some cases, the chipset and configuration information of the processors cannot be taken as conclusive evidence. The listing may be of an engineering sample or not finalized yet.
In case, Infinix Note 70 Pro comes with a newer chipset from the Snapdragon series, it can be an improvement in terms of the device's performance. It can improve the app and gaming experience. But then again, the performance depends upon various factors including the cooling capacity of the phone.
Thus, for now, the chipset should be considered unconfirmed rather than proof of the next generation Snapdragon 7s chipsets' release.
Infinix Note 70 Pro Specifications and Features Leaked So Far
Infinix Note 70 Pro has surfaced in multiple reports in the last few months. X6766, the model number of the device was seen on GSMA IMEI database back in August. Recently, an entry from EEC certification database had shed some light on the marketing name of the device. A later entry from DevCheck had reportedly hinted that the smartphone would have the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC.
As per the same DevCheck entry, the device would have a 6.78 inch screen, a 144Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is also reported that the smartphone will have a 50 megapixels primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).
A high refresh rate display can make the scrolling experience smooth and responsive gaming. The OIS technology can help prevent blur caused by small hand motions while capturing photos or making videos. The 256GB of storage can provide ample space for apps, games, photos and videos.
However, these details have not been confirmed yet. Specifications mentioned above might differ before its launch and it is yet to be known which configurations of the device will come to India.
Infinix Note 70 Pro Battery and Charging
Increased battery capacity may also become one of the essential upgrades in the upcoming smartphone. According to the leaks, the Infinix Note 70 Pro might contain a 7,000mAh battery, which would be bigger than the Infinix Note 60 Pro battery size of 6,500mAh.
Certainly, such a huge battery might attract those consumers who spend much time playing games, watching videos, surfing the web or working with navigation applications. The exact battery life depends upon the screen refresh rate, the processor performance, network conditions and software optimization.
For example, Infinix Note 60 Pro contains a support for 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. These are the features that the predecessor possesses; however, the charging specifications of Infinix Note 70 Pro have not been disclosed yet. It is to be discovered whether Infinix will preserve the same charging speed or will improve it.
In case the company makes a combination of increased battery capacity, an efficient processor and fast charging, the Note 70 Pro might attract more customers.
Infinix Note 70 Pro Software: Android 17 Expected
One of the significant pieces of information in this list of characteristics from Geekbench is Android 17. If the data provided is correct and nothing changes regarding the software, the Infinix Note 70 Pro may become available with the next major version of Google's OS pre-installed.
It might be seen as an advantage for Infinix Note 70 Pro in comparison with Infinix Note 60 Pro which comes with Android 16 and XOS 16 interface by the manufacturer. Newer Android version can come with new features, more up-to-date security measures, and different overall user experience.
Still, the appearance of Android 17 in the benchmark list does not ensure that the device will become available with this software. There is no information from the manufacturer regarding the exact Android version and update policy. The buyers should get official information about the availability of the Android version and its updates.
Infinix Note 70 Pro Launch Date and Expected Price in India
The Infinix Note 70 Pro does not have any announcement regarding the price and launch date in India. Infinix had released Infinix Note 60 Pro in India in February, priced at Rs. 35,999. While it gives an idea of the series pricing, the Infinix Note 70 Pro pricing may be different based on its specifications and market situation.
The rising cost of components, coupled with memory issues, could lead to increased prices for smartphone manufacturers. Consequently, the Infinix Note 70 Pro could launch with a higher price compared to its previous version without any confirmation about its starting price.
However, Infinix could justify the rise in the cost due to a new Snapdragon chipset, a larger battery of 7,000 mAh, and upgraded hardware. Despite this, the final value of the smartphone will depend on its price, charging speed, camera quality, and software support.
The Infinix Note 70 Pro seems to be quite an intriguing phone that will be released soon, especially considering the potential chipset upgrade and Android 17 compatibility. The expected 144Hz screen, 50MP main camera with OIS, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and bigger battery could make it quite attractive for people who prefer performance-oriented gadgets.
The most ambiguous thing at this point is probably its processor. The leak from the Geekbench database doesn't confirm or refute the existence of a new Snapdragon chipset or some modification of an existing one in the phone. Other things we still don't know about this gadget are its exact battery and charging capabilities, price in India, and updates policy.
For people who want to replace their phones, it would probably be wise to wait for the official release of this model. Additional information about the chipset, the release date, and price could help you decide whether or not it's worth buying.
