We revealed leaked performance details of the iPhone 17E in our previous blog, and more details are emerging as the launch draws closer. According to recent rumors, the iPhone 17e is expected to launch around February 19th. It will likely become the second model in Apple's "e" series, replacing the affordable iPhone SE lineup. New high-resolution renders show the clearest initial look at the design ahead of the official launch.

iPhone 17e Design & Display
First, let's talk about the iPhone 17E's display. This phone is expected to come with a 6.1-inch display and a 60Hz refresh rate. There are major changes in terms of design, as a dynamic island replaces the old notch, offering a more modern and interactive interface. It also features flat edges, a metal frame, and a single rear camera, just like the previous model. The same colour may also include a new lavender colour option along with the black and white variants.

iPhone 17e Camera
As for the camera, it's likely to feature a 48MP Fusion single camera like the previous model, along with support for 24MP/48MP photos, Portrait mode with Depth Control, Dolby Vision 4K at 60fps, and Photographic Style.
iPhone 17e Performance & Hardware
The phone is expected to come with the A19 chip, which is said to deliver performance comparable to the flagship iPhone 17 models. Additionally, the phone may feature MagSafe wireless charging, which the previous iPhone 16E lacked. It is also rumored to feature a C1X cellular modem and an N1 connectivity chip for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Thread.
iPhone 17e Price
While its price is expected to start at $699, it could start at around ₹59,900 in India, the same as the previous generation. Going into the details, the 128GB variant is expected to launch in India for around ₹57,000, but it will have 256GB of base storage, 8GB of RAM, and iOS 19 with AI features, making it a competitor to the iPhone in the mid-range. Apple's move is expected to impact the Android market.
Overall, this phone is going to be a solid and affordable iPhone with essential features, smooth performance, and the iOS experience. It may not be as good as some Android phones in raw hardware value, but long-term software support and Apple ecosystem integration are major advantages.
