iQOO 15 Launch Timeline

Following the success of its predecessors, the iQOO 15 will reportedly launch in China in October 2025, followed by a launch in India by December. While final launch dates are unclear, this is in line with iQOO's recent pattern. Last year, the iQOO 13 launched in China on October 30, with an Indian launch following December's early days. Interestingly, iQOO is bypassing the iQOO 14 for this flagship, which shows great confidence in the 15 series.

Premium Display for an Immersive Experience

Among the most impressive features of the iQOO 15 is its magnificent 6.85-inch flat Samsung OLED screen, which is reportedly akin to that used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The panel features a crisp 2K resolution and a quick 144Hz LTPO refresh speed, offering ultra-smooth graphics and adaptive refresh capabilities that dynamically adjust according to content. With a maximum brightness of up to 6000 nits and anti-reflection along with anti-fingerprint characteristics, the screen guarantees uncompromising visibility even under direct sunlight while repelling smudges.

Powerful Performance Backed by Custom Chips

Under the hood, the iQOO 15 will boast the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, or Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The top-of-the-line chipset will support demanding processes with ease and power efficiency, positioning the iQOO 15 as one of the first phones to adopt this next-gen chip. The device will also support a self-developed Q3 chip, which is specifically for optimizing display performance, consuming less power, and improving touch response.

Giant Battery and Intelligent Charging

Perhaps the most highly discussed spec is its huge 7000mAh battery, much larger than industry norms and ensuring long use for heavy users. With support for 100W wired and wireless charging, the iQOO 15 will significantly cut charging time and offer easy power boosts. This is a big jump from the iQOO 13, which featured a 6,150mAh battery in China and a 6,000mAh variant in India.

Next-Level Camera Capabilities

The iQOO 15 is likely to come equipped with an advanced triple rear camera setup. All three cameras are said to be 50-megapixel models, comprising a primary camera with OIS for stabilized photography, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a periscope telephoto camera supporting up to 3x optical zoom. The setup should provide users with variable photography options for high-end photos and videos. Additionally, the phone will be capable of 8K video recording, making it a content generation enthusiast's delight.

Advanced Cooling and Build Quality

Maintaining performance consistency during extensive use is essential, and the iQOO 15 will boast an 8K VC cooling plate. Constructed from aerospace-grade material, this thermal dissipation system provides optimal heat control for avoiding overheating while gaming or performing demanding multitasking. To match the high-performance internals, the device will be equipped with Crystal Diamond Glass covering the screen, a solid metal frame, and a glass back design. It is also anticipated to have IP68/IP69 ratings, rendering it extremely dust and water proof.

Software and Other Features

Operating Android 16 with OriginOS 6 in China, the iQOO 15 promises a smooth user experience maximizing performance and usability. The presence of an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader enables quick and secure biometric identification, balancing security with ease.

iQOO 15 vs iPhone 17 Pro Max
