The iQOO 15 is ready to officially land in China next month, and fans are already excited. Pre-reservations have already opened, and teasers of the design have been rolled out for the upcoming flagship ahead of its launch. Right from its galaxy-inspired RGB camera island to robust hardware upgrades, the iQOO 15 is looking to be one of the most awaited devices of 2025.
In a recent teaser Weibo post, iQOO officially presented fans with their first look at the iQOO 15. The phone features a big circular camera module sitting near the upper-left side of the back panel. Its uniqueness is the RGB light ring around the cameras that lights up, which isn't just for looks but also to give the entire visual presence of the phone an added pop.
The company has termed this design as that of a "floating spaceship" on the glass back cover, which makes it premium and futuristic-looking. The marble-like finish also adds to the elegance, and the chiselled single-button look on the side also highlights the attention to detail. The handset is also said to come with a right-angle metal middle frame, which should offer a strong yet slender build.
Topping it off, previous leaks have also suggested a color-changing back panel that changes from grey to pink based on the light angle. This lends an interesting personality to the iQOO 15, which is more than just another flagship phone.
The iQOO 15 is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup inside its circular island, accompanied by an LED flash. According to leaks, the setup will include:
A 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor
A 50MP ultra-wide lens
A 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom
This telephoto lens is tipped to support up to 100x digital zoom, making the iQOO 15 a strong contender in the photography department. The upgraded periscope module is also responsible for the slightly thicker camera bump compared to its predecessor.
While iQOO is keeping most details under wraps until launch, tipsters and benchmarking platforms have revealed some key specifications of the iQOO 15:
Display: 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 2K resolution, anti-reflective coating, and adaptive refresh rate
Processor: Rumoured to be powered by the soon-to-launch Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, coupled with a dedicated “gaming chip”
RAM & Storage: LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage options
Battery: Massive 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging support
Operating System: Android 15 out of the box
Biometrics: Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for enhanced security
Durability: Expected IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance
A handset thought to be the iQOO 15, model number V2505A, was seen last week on Geekbench. It ran a single-core score of 2,360 and a multi-core score of 7,285. Notably, these are a little below those of the iQOO 13, but the test sample might not have been operating with final software, and there are bound to be optimizations in place before release.
In addition to its cyberpunk RGB camera ring, the iQOO 15 will also be released in fresh colors. Among the features mentioned is the "Lingyun" color, which has a beautiful gradient effect. Red and silver finishes have also been shown through official teasers for those who like it bold or traditional.
The iQOO 15 is poised to debut in the second half of October 2025 in China, accompanied by a Pro or Ultra variant. With pre-orders already underway, iQOO enthusiasts are ready to experience what the company's next-generation flagship has in store.
From its aggressive design decisions to premium specs and enormous battery, the iQOO 15 is turning out to be a whole package for gamers, photography lovers, and power users in general.
