Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is gearing up to launch a big new phone in India. iQOO has confirmed the launch of the iQOO 15R smartphone in India. The iQOO 15R will launch on February 24, 2026, in Bengaluru, India. The event will be live streamed on iQOO's social media and official YouTube channel. And it's set to be one of the most talked-about phones this year. This will be the first time an "R" model will appear in the iQOO flagship lineup, and the brand has already shared key details via a teaser microsite on Amazon. The phone will be launched in the sub-flagship segment, below the iQOO 15.

Regarding the phone's price, the iQOO India CEO confirmed that the phone will be priced under ₹50,000, so a potential starting price could be around ₹47,999. This phone is an affordable alternative to the iQOO 15, which retails for ₹72,999. This phone will be sold exclusively on Amazon and will come in two color options: Triumph Silver and Dark Knight.


The phone's Dark Knight color offers a simple and classic look, while its other Triumph Silver color offers a motorsport-inspired checkered finish. The iQOO 15r is designed for compact and comfortable use, measuring 7.9mm thick and featuring a flat-edge design and a center punch-hole display. The phone's camera module will be similar to the iQOO 15, offering a comfortable grip for everyday use and long journeys.


The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, along with a Supercomputing Chip Q2 that will support 144FPS gaming. The AnTuTu score can reach 3.5 million+. Talking about the features of this phone, it will have a 6.5K IceCore VC cooling system and a network enhancement chip. Looking at these specs, you might have guessed that it is specifically designed for gamers and performance users.


The phone will feature a 6.59-inch display with an estimated 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, which focuses on smooth gaming and scrolling experience.


Now, let's talk about the iQOO 15r's biggest highlight, which is its massive 7,600 mAh battery. iQOO says the phone will also support 100W wired charging and bypass charging, which can keep the phone cool and powered while playing games or using heavy apps. The phone is expected to offer all-day battery life despite its high refresh rate. According to company tests, the phone can charge from 20% to 44% in just 10 minutes, although actual results may vary depending on temperature and initial charge level.


The phone will sport a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, but lacking a telephoto lens. The front camera is a 32MP selfie camera.


The phone will be based on OriginOS 6, which is expected to offer several AI features such as AI Note Creation, AI Captions, Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, AI Erase, AI Magic Move, AI Image Expander, AI Image Cut-out, and AI Document Scanning. The phone will come with support for four Android updates and six years of security updates.
