iQOO Buds have launched in India at ₹1,899, bringing 10mm drivers, up to 50 hours of battery life, 42ms low latency, dual-device connectivity, IP54 protection and exclusive features for iQOO and vivo smartphone users.

iQOO has launched another earbud offering in India by introducing iQOO Buds, a set of Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds that will cater to the users who need feature-laden earbuds without spending much. The newly-launched iQOO Buds earbuds have been priced at ₹1,899, and they come equipped with 10mm drivers, up to 50 hours of battery life, gaming latency support, and dual-device connection functionality.
The iQOO Buds earbuds are meant to provide entertainment and gaming experience. The new iQOO earbuds feature 10mm drivers that ensure an immersive audio experience when you use the earbuds for listening to music, watching movies, and playing games. The company has emphasized that the Golden Ears Acoustics Team has tuned the sound output of these earbuds. It is worth mentioning here that iQOO's Golden Ears Acoustics Team has tuned iQOO's premium TWS earbuds in China.
For those who would like to have a better custom experience while listening to music, the iQOO Buds feature DeepX audio effects along with a 8-band equalizer. In this way, users are able to change the sound profile according to their preference rather than depending only on the built-in default settings. Regardless of whether one prefers more bass, clarity of voice or balance in sound profile, the equalizer gives users more control of the sound output.
Another impressive feature of the new iQOO Buds is the battery life. The claimed battery life of up to 50 hours is great for users who prefer not to recharge their TWS earphones often.
Dual microphones featuring Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) are included with the earbuds for the purposes of making calls. The mechanism is intended to suppress noise coming from the environment and ensure that users get clear voices in their calls, especially when they make calls from moderately noisy environments. Although the Environmental Noise Cancellation does not work as active noise cancellation (ANC), the technology can still be helpful for enhancing the quality of voice conversations.
Gaming is yet another sphere where the new earbuds want to set themselves apart from the competition. The earbuds are characterized by low-latency mode, where the latency level is 42 ms. It is intended to ensure lower time between the action performed on a phone and the audio that gets to earbuds. The functionality can be helpful for those people playing fast-paced mobile games where audio latency plays a crucial role.
Connectivity features are provided by using the dual-device connection system, which allows the iQOO Buds to connect with two different compatible devices. It will be easier to switch between the smartphone and another device with this feature. The earbuds have the capability of supporting the AAC and SBC audio codec formats, meeting the wireless audio specifications for the compatible smartphone devices.
Moreover, iQOO Buds also have an IP54 protection rating, which gives some resistance to dust and water splashes. Thus, the earbuds would be more appropriate for daily use and exercising outdoors. However, the IP54 rating does not imply that these earbuds are waterproof.
One of the interesting things about iQOO Buds is that there are various features that have been included in the earbuds for users of vivo and iQOO phones. The first of these features includes personalization of themes for the animation that pops up when the buds are paired with the phone. Remote control of the camera is another feature that allows users to use the buds to activate their smartphone camera.
The buds are also able to locate your earbuds using Find My Buds with proper geolocation. This can come in handy in case you happen to misplace your TWS earbuds. All these features that focus on the ecosystem make the iQOO Buds more attractive to vivo or iQOO smartphone users.
In terms of pricing, the iQOO Buds are available for ₹1,899 in India. One can also receive an instant ₹200 bank discount on all cards, thereby bringing down the effective cost to ₹1,699 per purchase. Given the above price point, the combination of 10mm drivers, 50 hours total battery, 42 ms low latency, dual connection, IP54 certification, and ecosystem-exclusive features certainly make iQOO Buds an interesting addition to India's TWS budget segment.
From the above analysis, it seems that the iQOO Buds are a well-rounded product instead of being one that is designed to highlight a specific feature. The long battery would certainly entice common users, low latency mode would suit mobile gamers, while the customizable audio modes would provide some added flexibility to music lovers. Moreover, the iQOO and vivo smartphone users would get some additional ecosystem-exclusive features in the form of earbuds.
