Following the successful launch of the iQOO Z10, Z10 Lite, and Z10x, iQOO is now set to add another fresh new member to its hit Z10 series the iQOO Z10R. With the brand gearing up promotions for this new phone, the teaser image itself has already generated a lot of buzz among tech fans and content creators alike. Pledging a premium look, 4K video vlogging support, and perhaps the latest MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, the iQOO Z10R looks like another reliable addition to the mid-to-budget Android club.
The official teaser confirms a sharp, contemporary design that differentiates the Z10R from its relatives. The phone has a centered punch-hole selfie camera cutout, providing it with a symmetrical front look. More impressive about the design is the curvature of the display—a high-end smartphone feature. With thin bezels and a curved side frame, the phone guarantees an immersive visual experience and an ergonomic hold in hand.
On the sides, the iQOO Z10R positions its volume rocker and power button neatly on the right side, and the back design also features some considerate styling. The oval-shaped camera island appears on the back panel, housing a circular dual-camera module at the top and a ring-shaped Aura Light configuration at the bottom. This camera arrangement is followed by etched texts like 'Aura Light' and '2x Portrait', which predominantly emphasize the phone's photography capabilities.
One of the highlights hinted at by the company is support for 4K video vlogging. This makes the iQOO Z10R an attractive option for content creators, vloggers, and social media influencers seeking high-quality video chops without having to break the bank. With the popularity of bite-sized content and platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok increasing, this feature does give the Z10R a clear advantage in its class.
In terms of hardware, the iQOO Z10R is supposed to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, hinted at by a recent Geekbench listing of a Vivo phone carrying model number I2410, thought to be the Z10R. The phone registered 1,033 points in a single-core test and 2,989 in a multi-core test indications of a strong mid-range performer.
The Geekbench entry also confirms that the iQOO Z10R will launch with the newest Android 15 OS, along with 12GB of RAM. But since with iQOO, we usually get several variations of RAM and storage to accommodate various budgets and requirements, we can anticipate similar scenarios here as well. The new Dimensity 7400 promises up to 10% enhanced performance compared to its older counterpart and should translate into tighter multitasking, gaming, and video editing experiences.
The Z10R's dual-camera module seems to be optimized for both photo and video. Although the specific sensor details are not yet known, the inclusion of '2x Portrait' suggests a separate telephoto or portrait lens for enhanced depth and bokeh. At the same time, the Aura Light is probably an additional light ring for enhanced low-light portraits and video, as has been seen on certain Vivo flagship releases.
With this camera configuration, the iQOO Z10R is not just targeting casual shooters, but also those requiring an inexpensive phone for half-pro mobile photography and 4K content shooting.
Interestingly, there are rumors circulating in the market that the iQOO Z10R could be rebranded and released as part of the Vivo T4 series, namely Vivo T4R, in some markets. Vivo and iQOO have before that used this approach to optimize reach and consolidate regional branding. If this is true, the users may receive the same premium experience under a different label, depending on the region.
Though the official price is yet to be disclosed, everything indicates that the iQOO Z10R will find its place in the same price segment as the Z10 series, albeit slightly higher because of its more advanced features. With its premium look, support for 4K videos, and Android 15 out of the box, the Z10R should be an extremely value-for-money offering.
The phone is expected to come through Amazon India and the company website, similar to its predecessors. The teaser features the phone in a stylish blue color, but we can expect more colors on launch to cater to different style needs.
According to reports, the iQOO Z10R is going to be released later this month or in early August 2025. The teaser campaign of the brand has already been launched, indicating that the official unveiling is imminent. With other players heating up the budget segment with similar offerings, iQOO appears to be game for the challenge with its powerful and sleek new entrant.
The iQOO Z10R appears primed to reset users' expectations from a mid-ranger in 2025. Equipped with the likes of 4K vlogging, curved OLED screen, Dimensity 7400 chipset, Android 15, and a stunning design, the phone checks all the right boxes for performance-hungry and budget-conscious content creators and tech enthusiasts alike. If you're willing to upgrade your smartphone without sacrificing on performance and camera abilities, the Z10R needs to be on your list.
