The iQOO Z11 is set to launch in India on August 20 with a 6.8-inch 144Hz curved AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset and a massive 7,050mAh battery. The phone is expected to be priced under Rs 40,000.

iQOO is slowly but surely divulging information regarding its next product – the iQOO Z11, which will hit the Indian market in late August this year. Having already disclosed the design, display and SoC of the smartphone, iQOO has now shared a teaser that provides an idea about its price range. It seems like the iQOO Z11 will be an upper mid-range phone that boasts such features as high refresh rate AMOLED display, large battery, and an entirely new chipset from MediaTek.
It will be the third smartphone within the iQOO Z11 series, joining iQOO Z11 Lite and iQOO Z11x. According to the recent teasers, the upcoming phone is going to be more expensive than the aforementioned smartphones.
iQOO Z11 Price in India
iQOO has hinted that the pricing of the iQOO Z11 in India would be below Rs 40,000. The company has been giving out information on the various aspects of the phone when compared with other smartphones in the below Rs 40,000 price range, clearly hinting at how the phone will be priced.
Despite the price range of the phone still not being known, the below Rs 40,000 price range is expected to make the iQOO Z11 compete in an extremely competitive price segment in India. The phone is expected to take on phones like the Redmi Turbo 5 and Motorola Edge 70 Pro, as the factors of performance, display quality, battery capacity, and hardware will decide the purchase of the phone.
It makes perfect sense given the nature of iQOO Z11 as well, because unlike the iQOO Z11 Lite and iQOO Z11x, the iQOO Z11 is going to have advanced specifications in its arsenal.
iQOO Z11 Display
Another highlight of the iQOO Z11 includes its display. It is said that the smartphone comes equipped with a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. The display would have a great 144Hz refresh rate, meaning animations, scrolling and games will run smoothly.
The display is also expected to come with 5,000 nits of peak brightness. This means that the smartphone will have good specifications when it comes to outdoor visibility and HDR content. The smartphone reportedly has a 93.82 percent screen-to-body ratio, which gives the manufacturer enough room to put a big screen in the smartphone.
The use of curved edges not only looks more premium but also increases immersion in watching videos and gaming. Alongside 144Hz refresh rate, the display seems like a huge selling point of the Z11.
Multiple Eye-Care Features Included
Another area where iQOO will focus on display is comfort. The Z11 smartphone will be equipped with many eye care modes aimed at making prolonged usage comfortable.
For example, there will be Eye Protection Mode, Sleep Comfort Mode, and Anti-Fatigue Brightness Adjustment. All of those might prove very useful for people who have to watch videos, scroll through social media feeds and play games for hours on end.
Whether or not those modes will prove effective in practice remains to be seen. However, the fact that iQOO decided to equip the Z11 with more than just a fast refresh rate and high brightness makes its display more feature-rich.
MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo
Powering the device internally will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. In fact, iQOO has stated that the device will be the first smartphone to launch with this chipset in India.
The chipset is likely to play an integral role in contributing to the performance-based approach taken by the phone. iQOO Z-series smartphones have always been marketed towards consumers who want performance without having to pay the premium prices of flagship phones, and this one seems no exception.
With the inclusion of the chipset along with the high refresh rate display, the Z11 will appeal greatly to the gamers. But how much of this can actually be felt in practice is yet to be seen.
7,050mAh Battery
There is the issue of battery capacity that makes the iQOO Z11 stand out. In India, this phone comes with a 7,050mAh battery capacity, which is higher compared to the usual capacity of other smartphones of this level.
The interesting thing about this is that the Indian version has a lower battery capacity than the Chinese version. According to reports, the Chinese version features a monster of a 9,020mAh battery capacity. The lower capacity is still high, and it would work to the benefit of the device for its users who are looking for longevity.
A high battery capacity could come in handy for gamers and heavy users of the smartphone for tasks like streaming videos, using navigation, social media, etc. There are many factors that would affect the actual battery capacity of the phone.
AI Features Add More Functionality
AI software capabilities will also be included in the iQOO Z11. The company has stated that Circle to Search, AI Captions, AI Creation, and AI Routing are available in the iQOO Z11.
Circle to Search will allow for easy searching of information from the contents shown on the display of the phone, while AI Captions will help in captioning and enhancing the accessibility of multimedia contents. AI Creation will offer creative functionalities to the user, whereas AI Routing will help in software-related operations.
From the above, it is clear that iQOO is not depending only on hardware specifications to make the Z11 unique. AI functions are increasingly being offered in mobile phones, and by offering these features, the phone will compete better with other similar-priced smartphones.
iQOO Z11 Design and Colour Options
The iQOO Z11 smartphone will be available in Aurora Green and Celestial Blue color variants. It is believed that the curved screen and high-quality finish will make this device look more stylish than ordinary flat-screen smartphones of the same class.
As for the general concept of the smartphone, it seems to be designed for those users who are looking for a smartphone combining the performance-oriented features and a premium look. Thus, this smartphone can attract not only gamers.

But then, all the specifications will not be able to decide if the Z11 is worth purchasing. With the release of the smartphone set for August 20, buyers will not have to wait much longer for their decision.
