iQOO Z11 Series Global Launch Brings 9020mAh Battery and 144Hz AMOLED Display

iQOO, the Chinese mobile brand, has officially released its newest lineup, iQOO Z11 series phones, in Malaysia. These smartphones were originally unveiled to the public in China this year. The recently launched smartphones include iQOO Z11 phones and iQOO Z11x models. Featuring large batteries, fast refresh rate screens, IP69 waterproofing, and pre-installed Android 16, it is clear that these products have been designed for consumers looking for midrange smartphones that are durable.

iQOO Z11 Series

This new release will definitely make waves in the Indian market since Z-series phones have already proven to be popular there, especially with gaming enthusiasts. In India, one can find an iQOO Z11x but not the regular iQOO Z11 model. Thus, it may be safe to conclude that an Indian version of this product line is imminent.

iQOO Z11 Brings a Huge Battery and Premium Mid-Range Features

The largest highlight that comes from the iQOO Z11 is without a doubt its huge 9,020mAh battery. Battery capacities continue to increase year on year in modern smartphones, however, it is still rare to come across such a large capacity in a relatively slim mid-range phone. This may make it a very desirable phone for battery-anxious customers who need all the extra battery power.

In order to charge up the phone efficiently despite having a huge battery capacity, iQOO has provided fast charging capabilities of 90W in the smartphone. This allows you to charge your phone really quickly and will be very useful for gamers and travelers alike.

Talking about the front, we have a large 6.83 inch FHD+ AMOLED screen. High refresh rate screens are a major selling point when it comes to mid-range phones. They deliver much better performance in games as well as provide smooth touch responses. The peak brightness on this phone goes all the way to an amazing 5,000 nits.

The chipset that powers the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. This chipset has been created for mid-tier capabilities and should be able to support tasks such as gaming, video playback, and multitasking. Although it may not offer as much power as the latest flagship chips, it will get the job done effectively.

Camera Setup

For instance, when it comes to the cameras, we can say that the smartphone uses a dual camera on the back consisting of a 50MP main module and a 2MP depth sensor. In addition, there is a 32MP front camera to be used for selfies.

Of course, the specs of the camera may look less interesting in comparison with other camera-focused smartphones. However, they should be sufficient to shoot photos and make videos that can be shared online.

At the same time, iQOO seems to focus on improving battery life and performance rather than creating another device with an excellent camera system. Moreover, the phone has been equipped with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance standards. In recent years, they have become crucial in marketing devices from the mid-range segment due to the increased demand.

Lastly, the software used by this smartphone includes OriginOS 6 that runs on Android 16. Being launched with this OS version, the device stands out among competitors, as most phones from the mid-range segment come with old Android versions.

iQOO Z11x Targets Budget Buyers

Aside from that, iQOO decided to release another smartphone called iQOO Z11x. Although it is priced lower than the former one, the latter device does not disappoint as it comes with various features worth noting despite being relatively inexpensive.

First off, the smartphone includes a 6.76-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Of course, the absence of an AMOLED screen means that the device lacks better visual quality but thanks to its high refresh rate, it promises a better user experience while scrolling or playing mobile games.

When it comes to its internals, the smartphone utilizes the new MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo processor. In recent years, the brand has made incredible progress in the mid-tier segment and we can expect the new processor to deliver solid daily use performance, as well as a decent gaming experience.

As expected, another aspect that needs our attention is the smartphone's battery capacity. To be more precise, the device offers a monstrous 7,200mAh battery alongside 44W fast charging. Under regular usage conditions, the smartphone can comfortably provide enough battery juice to work throughout the entire day.

For photography, the phone includes a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP bokeh lens. Similar to the Z11, users also get a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Durability features remain intact here too, as the device also offers IP68 and IP69 certifications for water and dust resistance. On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

iQOO Z11 Series Price and Expected India Launch

The iQOO Z11 has a starting price of MYR 1,599, equivalent to approximately Rs 38,600. On the other hand, the iQOO Z11x has a starting price of MYR 1,099, equivalent to about Rs 26,600.

But that may change when the two smartphones land in India. The smartphone market has witnessed an increase in prices in the past couple of years. The main reason behind this is rising costs of components used and high-end specifications. So, the pricing strategy for India is key to the success of the new Z series.

The basic Z11 smartphone could easily go up against competitors such as the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion and others.

iQOO Z11 seems to be aimed at consumers that value battery life, screen performance, and durability over premium camera hardware. This phone certainly stands out due to its 144Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon processor, Android 16, and 9,020mAh battery.

As for the iQOO Z11x, it is quite possible that it will become an attractive choice for people looking for a balanced middle-ground option with a large battery and acceptable specs without breaking the bank.

Consumers who now use old phones with poor battery life and low-quality screens may be happy with their upgrade to iQOO's new Z11 range of devices. Of course, as always, a more practical approach would be to wait for a full review of these products before purchasing one.
