OnePlus Launches Five New Devices Including Nord 5 Watch 3 43mm and Buds 4

In a big world debut, OnePlus has launched five new products in several categories with the intention of reaching budget shoppers, wearable fans, and tech lovers as well. The A-list launch comprises the OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Watch 3 43mm, OnePlus Buds 4, OnePlus Nord CE 5, and the OnePlus Pad Lite. Not all devices will be released worldwide, but OnePlus has developed a good set for US, European, and Indian users.

Let's now examine each product in detail.

OnePlus

OnePlus Watch 3

OnePlus has finally responded to a popular demand with the launch of the Watch 3 43mm, a smaller variant of its premium smartwatch. Earlier this year, OnePlus launched the Watch 3 with a larger 47mm dial, which although feature-loaded, drew some criticism for its bulkiness. Now, with a 43mm dial, the Watch 3 becomes more comfortable to wear and easier to fit on wrists of all sizes.

The revamp introduces a neater, rounder case, shedding the pointed angular details between the turning crown and button. It's 7% thinner and 28% lighter than the original Watch 3, as well as not only smaller, but also immensely more wearable all day long.

But the reduced size brings with it a trade-off battery life. While the base model had a whopping 120-hour backup, the new 43mm version halves it, providing up to 60 hours in normal usage. The screen is also less bright, at 1,000 nits peak, from 2,200 nits on the 47mm model.

Nevertheless, the watch operates on Wear OS, with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset coupled with a low-power co-processor to achieve more efficiency. It adds new features such as tracking of reproductive cycles and a revised Wellness score that relies on the barometer to detect fatigue levels displaying corresponding emojis that allow users to easily understand their status.

Price & Availability:

  • US: $299.99 (Available now on OnePlus.com; Amazon & Best Buy from August)

  • Europe: €299 / £269

OnePlus Buds 4

Alongside the new Watch, OnePlus also introduced the Buds 4, a new pair of budget-friendly TWS earbuds that promise a high-quality audio experience with no premium price. Available in green and gray, the Buds 4 have Hi-Res audio and spatial sound support, courtesy of their dual-driver design (11mm + 6mm per bud).

Another of the finer but very useful design enhancements is the ever-so-slightly concave touch controls, which assist individuals in accurately finding the swipe and tap areas—a considerate feature for day-to-day use.

Price & Availability:

  • US: $129.99

  • Europe: €119 / £119

OnePlus Nord 5

While it won't be coming to the US, the OnePlus Nord 5 is quite possibly the most anticipated device in this unveiling for the Indian and European markets. It's priced at €449 / £399 and packs the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which makes it a gaming-capable midrange smartphone.

Some key points are:

  • A 144Hz OLED screen for completely fluid images

  • A stellar 50MP front camera, rare at this level

  • A massive 6.83-inch screen, but very surprisingly thin and light

  • A new "Plus Key", taking the place of the classic Alert Slider, completely customizable and for AI features

This device is obviously made for the new generation, gamers, and creators who care about performance and screen quality. A proper review is pending soon, but initial reactions indicate that OnePlus has got the specs and pricing balance right.

OnePlus Nord CE 5

Completing the Nord 5 is its reduced form factor relative the OnePlus Nord CE 5, which enters the fray at €349 / £299. As much as it takes over some of the design and battery features of the Nord 5, it makes a number of compromises in order to achieve its lower price.

It differs fundamentally in the following ways:

  • Smaller 6.77-inch screen with lower resolution and refresh rate

  • An MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chip, weaker than the Snapdragon 8s

  • Lower camera capability, brightness, and screen refresh rate

OnePlus still keeps some crucial features, such as the 5,200mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and four years of OS updates, which maintains long-term value for users with a stricter budget.

OnePlus Pad Lite

Completing the launch event is the OnePlus Pad Lite, the company's latest tablet addition. It's a budget-friendly option compared to the current OnePlus Pad lineup, providing good specifications for normal users, students, or content viewers.

Although it still has the older round camera module design (now updated in the Pad 3), it has much to offer for the price:

  • An 11-inch 2K screen with a 90Hz refresh rate

  • A 9,340mAh battery, with long use ensured

  • Optional upgrades with additional RAM, double storage, and LTE connectivity for only €30 / £30 more

Base Price:

  • Europe: €229 / £199

  • Upgraded Version: €259 / £229

This multi-product roll-out by OnePlus showcases its plan to appeal to a broad range of consumers ranging from fitness enthusiasts and audio buffs to price-sensitive smartphone consumers and tablet hunters.

While Watch 3 43mm and Buds 4 are bound for the US market, the Nord 5 series and Pad Lite present value-loaded choices for Europe and India. Each model caters to a niche, and OnePlus appears to have taken heed of both market sentiments and consumers' reactions to tweak its line-up.
