OnePlus N6 Lite

The OnePlus Company is set to extend its budget segment range in India through the launch of a new phone known as OnePlus N6 Lite. The phone is scheduled to be released this week and it will be alongside other models such as the OnePlus N6 and N6x, which were released in the country a few weeks ago this summer. Surprisingly, the N6 Lite model looks like it will be the cheapest phone ever released by OnePlus.

Before the launch of the phone, some facts have been disclosed concerning the phone's features, launch date, design and durability among others. Here is what you should know about the OnePlus N6 Lite ahead of its launch in India.

OnePlus N6 Lite India Launch Date

The OnePlus N6 Lite is set to make its debut in India on September 22 at 12 o'clock. After that, customers can buy the device from Amazon India, OnePlus.in, OnePlus Store app, OnePlus Experience Stores, and selected retail stores.

OnePlus has not made any announcement regarding the price of the phone, its sale date, or the offers that will come with the launch of the device.

OnePlus N6 Lite Design and Colours

However, the OnePlus N6 Lite is designed with a relatively basic design with curved edges and straight frames. The back part of the phone comes with a square-shaped camera module, where the rear camera system sits.

The colouring process stretches over the entire back surface, making the device look more consistent. Two different colour choices will be available for the N6 Lite — Midnight Hype and Neo Green.

Although the phone will come with a large battery, it will reportedly weigh only 215g and measure 8.95mm thin, meaning that its dimensions will definitely matter to those who prefer lightweight devices.

OnePlus N6 Lite Specifications and Features

One of the major attractions of the OnePlus N6 Lite is the 7,000mAh battery pack. As per claims made by the firm, this particular phone battery can offer up to three days of usage before requiring another recharge. Furthermore, the battery is said to maintain 80 percent of its original condition even after six years.

Furthermore, the phone supports wired reverse charging feature which makes the phone capable of being used as a power source to charge other compatible devices.

It has been claimed by OnePlus that the device can provide as much as 26.8 hours of video playback time, 29.9 hours of Google Maps navigation, and 49.7 hours of talk time using one charge cycle only.

The front of the phone includes a 6.75 inches display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This will make everything on the display much smoother thanks to the increased refresh rate and size of the screen.

The other feature includes the IP64 dust and splash resistance rating, along with the MIL-STD-810H certification which indicates that the device has passed some kind of tests regarding environment and durability of the phone.

One more feature which is offered by OnePlus is called 36 Month Fluency Protection, where they claim that this feature will improve the performance of the device for three years.

OnePlus N6 Lite Software and Camera

As for the software, the OnePlus N6 Lite is believed to come with the OxygenOS 16 right from the factory. There will be a number of AI-driven functions on the phone, such as AI Clear Face and AI Eraser that are designed to enhance images.

As far as the photography features go, the device will have a 50 MP main rear camera. It is possible to expect more information about the overall camera setup soon.

OnePlus N6 Lite Expected Price in India

The official price of the OnePlus N6 Lite hasn't been disclosed yet. But the smartphone is expected to be placed under the OnePlus N6x that comes with a starting price tag of Rs 20,999.

This would mean that the OnePlus N6 Lite can be launched below the Rs 20,000 mark and thus could turn out to be the cheapest ever phone by OnePlus. With a battery capacity of 7,000mAh, a 120Hz refresh rate screen, robust design, OxygenOS 16 and AI, the OnePlus N6 Lite seems to be aimed at people who give importance to battery performance and usability.

But the bigger question would be whether OnePlus will position this phone against the budget smartphones of Lava, Realme, and iQOO. As the launch is very close, it won't take much time before knowing the actual price, sale date, and all other details about the OnePlus N6 Lite.
