OnePlus is gearing up to expand its mid-range Nord lineup in India. The company has already confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 6 will launch on April 7, and recent reports suggest that the brand may also launch the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite in May whereas the Nord CE 5 was launched last year without a 'Lite' variant.

According to reports, both smartphones could launch in May, with the company's focus remaining on performance and battery backup; notably, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is rumored to feature an 8000mAh battery and 8GB of RAM.
Speaking of the Nord CE 6 Lite, it is expected to feature a 6.7-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring that graphics appear exceptionally smooth. It may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. To power the smartphone, it will be equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery, which should provide over a day of battery backup with typical usage. As for the cameras, the Nord CE 6 Lite will likely feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an additional lens. For selfies, it includes a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Users can also expect to see some fresh design changes.
The phone is expected to run on Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 and features a side-mounted fingerprint reader for enhanced security. The base variant of the Nord CE 6 Lite may come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with a projected price in India of under ₹23,000. Furthermore, with applicable bank offers, the price could drop to even below ₹20,000, thereby firmly establishing its position within the mid-range smartphone market. According to the report, a charger will not be included in the box. This marks the first time for OnePlus that a charger will not be provided in the packaging.
Based on its specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite might seem a bit expensive, and the absence of a charger in the box will entail additional costs. However, as companies are raising prices due to rising component costs, OnePlus may also follow this trend. The Nord CE 6 Lite could launch in May 2026 alongside the OnePlus Nord 6.
If the price and features are right, this phone could be an ideal choice for buyers looking for a feature-rich device without spending a fortune. However, if you need to purchase a phone immediately, you might want to explore other options in this price range; but if you are specifically looking for the OnePlus brand and a large battery, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite could be worth the wait.
