OnePlus Pad 2 Expected to Launch in the Second Half of 2024

In February 2023, OnePlus launched its first tablet, Oneplus Pad and it has received a great response in the Tablet Market. According to many reports the company will announce the OnePlus Pad 2 in the second half of 2024. It is certain that we are going to get this new tablet will even better and Upgraded Hardware then before.

In a Weibo post, OnePlus announced the launch of the OnePlus Pad Pro in China, the brand's first tablet release in the Chinese market. We can safely assume that this new tablet, or a variant of it, will likely come to the US as well, under the name OnePlus Pad 2.

Since the Oppo Pad 2 has similar specifications as the OnePlus Pad, So there is a rumour that Oppo Pad 3 could be similar to the upcoming OnePlus Pad 2.

A OnePlus device called OnePlus OPD2404, which is believed to be the OnePlus Pad 2, and according to the translation of that Weibo post, OnePlus is calling the Pad Pro the 'most powerful Android tablet,' and that may have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC underpinning it. That is a substantial bump up from the Dimensity 9000 chip inside original OnePlus Pad, and in fact makes it the first Android tablet to feature an 8 Gen 3 chip.


The OnePlus Pad Pro impresses with its excellent battery life, and battery; multiple days of usage proved no challenge, and the 67W fast charging juices up the 9,510mAh battery without taking up an excessive quantity of time. We scored the tablet a 7.5/10, but a lack of a fingerprint scanner, an awkward position for the camera bump, and some OxygenOS bugs were minor nitpicks.


The company has not released many specifications yet, but the teaser suggests that a new keyboard cover accessory will be launched with a laptop-style touchpad and a new stylus pen in black. The new OnePlus Pad will be available in two colors different from the current "Halo Green": a darker color that could be black or gray and a lighter color that would be a less bright green.



In terms of design, the image suggests no major changes. The rear camera bar remains centered and protrudes similarly to its predecessor. The OnePlus logo placement, bezels, and rounded corners all appear unchanged.


Sadly, it seems that the OnePlus Pad Pro will still have an LCD screen. While the original OnePlus Pad’s LCD was amazing, boasting Dolby Vision and 144Hz rates in refreshment, general OLED display would be preferable for multimedia.


Notwithstanding this fact however, it is expected that when launched for sale in the India, the OnePlus Pad Pro (or Pad 2) will adhere to their commitment of competitive pricing. This means that its cost could overshoot what the previous OnePlus Pad went for on Amazon (INR 36,499). However, if OnePlus succeeds in pricing it lower than Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series then it could still be a major player in the tablet business.


Additionally, Digital Chat Station, a well-known source on Weibo, has shared live images that are believed to be of the OnePlus Pad 2. The leaker confirms that the tablet's performance is top-notch, as claimed by OnePlus, and mentions that it will have an all-metal body, making it very light and thin.


The OnePlus Pad 2 is expected to be priced at ₹42,990, according to Smartprix. This pricing positions it competitively within the high-end tablet market, especially considering its advanced features and robust performance. If OnePlus can deliver on its promise of top-tier specifications and user experience, the Pad 2 could offer substantial value for money, potentially appealing to consumers looking for a powerful yet reasonably priced alternative to other premium tablets.


The OnePlus Pad 2 is expected to be priced at ₹42,990, according to Smartprix. Priced as such, it puts itself in a competitive place in the upper echelons of the tablet market and given some of its advanced specs and its robust performance. If OnePlus could come through with the high-end spec sheet and user experience, the Pad 2 might prove quite a compelling proposition, and would likely look like unbeatable value next to premium tablets.
