OPPO Find N6

OPPO has confirmed that its next foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N6, will launch in China on March 17th. A successor to the OPPO Find N5 launched last year, the smartphone will feature an ultra-flat and flexible design. The company has also released a teaser video showcasing the phone's design, color options, and some engineering changes. The Find N6's folding mechanism is similar to that of its predecessor, the Find N5. Liu Zuohu, OPPO's Chief Product Officer and OnePlus founder, has revealed that the upcoming OPPO Find N6 will feature a new-generation titanium alloy dome hinge, providing a creaseless display experience. Additionally, the foldable smartphone will offer an interactive operating system and an OPPO AI stylus.

In the teaser, we see a very thin, attractive device. Most importantly, it's a foldable phone, with OPPO focusing on minimizing creases on the foldable screen. Samsung has already demonstrated a creaseless prototype display, and it seemed likely that Apple would surprise with a creaseless foldable phone in its iPhone Fold in 2026. However, it appears that both Samsung and Apple's devices will lag behind OPPO and the Find N6. The Find N6 features a new hinge design made from titanium alloy. The display uses a memory glass layer, which should help keep the screen flatter when the phone is opened. This hinge distributes pressure evenly when folding and unfolding the phone, which is expected to reduce visible creases.

The OPPO Find N6 will feature the new OPPO AI Stylus, allowing users to write notes, sketch, and work easily on the large internal display. Stylus support is still rare in book-style foldable phones, so this feature could be significant. According to several online rumors, the upcoming Oppo Find N6 is said to feature an 8.12-inch 2K LTPO main display and a 6.62-inch secondary screen. Another key feature of this phone is that while Samsung removed S Pen support from its Galaxy Z Fold7 last year, the OPPO Find N6 will also support the new OPPO AI Pen, which is not commonly seen in foldable phones.

According to a teaser video released by the company, the Oppo Find N6 will be available in two colors: Golden Orange and Original Titanium. The company has also revealed that the smartphone will come in three variants – 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 12GB. Reports suggest that the top variant may also support satellite connectivity.

The phone's inner display is expected to feature an approximately 8.12-inch foldable screen, while the cover display is expected to feature an approximately 6.62-inch outer screen. It's speculated that the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and pack a 6,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

Now let's talk about the next big feature of Find N6. The phone will have 200MP Samsung HP5 primary camera, 50MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide camera, 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera.

Currently, the OPPO Find N6 is confirmed to launch only in China. However, OPPO's foldable phones often launch internationally under the OnePlus brand name. For example, the OnePlus Open (2023) was essentially a rebranded version of the OPPO Find N3. If OPPO continues its previous strategy, the Find N6 or a similar model could launch in other markets under the OnePlus brand in the future. OPPO's last foldable phone in India was the Find N3 Flip, which launched in October 2023 at a price of ₹94,999. However, it is not yet clear whether this device will be available in markets other than China.
