Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K100 in China, featuring a 165Hz OLED display, a massive 10,000mAh battery, 100W fast charging, advanced cooling and up to 16GB RAM. Here are its specifications, prices and availability details.

Redmi K100

Xiaomi has unveiled its new Redmi K100 smartphone in China, which is a gaming-oriented phone that comes with many cutting-edge features for those who desire an optimal gaming experience, a long-lasting battery, and good heat management. In an unusual move, the smartphone has been equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which has been released by Qualcomm in 2024.

Besides that, the Redmi K100 is packed with many advanced components such as the 165 Hz OLED screen, the 10,000 mAh battery, 100W wired fast charging technology, and the 3D circulating cold pump cooling technology. Other notable aspects of this smartphone include the IP69K rated water and dust resistance, up to 16GB RAM, and the HyperOS 4 of Xiaomi. The combination of its high refresh rate screen and a huge battery makes this phone very attractive for mobile gamers who play a lot of games on their smartphones.

Redmi K100 Specifications and Features

Among other things, Redmi K100 comes with a contemporary design characterized by punch-hole display, flat edges, and a huge rectangular camera block on the back. Xiaomi has made use of multiple durability standards, such as IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, meaning that the phone is protected against dust and water under certain test standards.

On the software side, the Redmi K100 has HyperOS 4 installed along with the Super XiaoAI 2.0, which is an AI assistant from Xiaomi. Software in general will help users perform daily tasks, launch apps, multitask, etc. In terms of hardware, the smartphone is equipped with a 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset alongside with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1.

As for the mentioned combination, it is supposed to help the phone perform challenging applications, load games fast, and switch between different applications smoothly. However, Snapdragon 8 Elite is a bit outdated flagship SoC as compared with new generation chips, which are going to be used in upcoming premium smartphones in 2026. In other words, the smartphone will remain capable of performing most everyday tasks and games but may perform differently from the newest ones.

Redmi K100 Gets a 165Hz OLED Display

Among the top highlights of the Redmi K100 is its 6.83 inches flat OLED screen. It comes with an FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate that promises better animations, scrolling, and gaming experience compared to traditional 60Hz displays. In addition, the Redmi K100 supports a 480Hz touch reporting rate and touch sampling rate of up to 3,500Hz, making it more responsive during compatible gaming.

Xiaomi says that the 165Hz refresh rate is supported by more than 100 game titles. Nonetheless, the performance would depend on the individual games, their frame rates, and software optimization. For competitive gaming purposes, the high refresh rate and high touch responsiveness could offer a better experience in compatible games. The screen also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 12-bit colour, and DCI-P3 colour coverage. The peak brightness of the display can go up to 3,500 nits, making it easy to use in bright conditions.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset With Advanced Cooling System

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip powers the Redmi K100 smartphone and has been manufactured using a 3 nm technology. Although it is not one of the most advanced flagships chips released in 2026, the processor would definitely be able to offer good computing and graphics performance for resource-intensive tasks and gaming.

Xiaomi offers its smartphone a unique 3D circulating cold pump cooling system that is supposed to help to dissipate heat generated by the chip during intense work. In addition to that, there is more than 12,000 mm² of high-conducting graphite in order to dissipate heat across the phone.

It is especially necessary to have a good cooling system in a phone with a 165 Hz display because intensive games will put heavy loads on both the processor and the graphics card. However, results will vary depending on the game, environmental temperature and other factors.

Redmi K100 Packs a Massive 10,000mAh Battery

Battery life is yet another feature that contributes to the Redmi K100's appeal. Equipped with a huge 10,000mAh battery, the Redmi smartphone has a considerably larger battery than those found in traditional flagship smartphones. According to Xiaomi, the battery has enough juice to provide more than two days of backup, but it ultimately depends on the user's gaming activities, refresh rate, network connection, and more.

The smartphone supports 100W wired fast charging, which means that it allows you to charge the large battery faster compared to conventional charging methods. Additionally, it is equipped with 27W reverse wired charging, meaning that the phone is able to charge another device via cable connection.

Bypass charging is also among the useful features that allow users to send power directly to the system of the device during selected use cases, thus preventing excessive heating of the battery while gaming while being charged.

The combination of a 10,000mAh battery, fast charging, and advanced cooling could make the Redmi K100 appealing to gamers who want extended playing sessions without frequently reaching for a charger. It may also suit users who spend long hours travelling or working away from a power source.

Redmi K100 Camera Specifications

Even with gaming-optimized hardware, the Redmi K100 still has a dual-camera system on the rear. It comprises of a 50MP LightHunter 800 sensor with an f/1.68 aperture as the primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. While the primary camera is responsible for producing clear images, the ultrawide camera serves to capture a wider scene with landscapes and group shots among others.

The smartphone is also equipped with a 20MP selfie camera on its front-facing side. Even though the camera system satisfies the basic photography needs, from the specifications, one can tell that Xiaomi seems to have concentrated more on gaming capabilities, battery, and display than a multi-camera system.

Some of the other specifications include the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and infrared blaster.

Redmi K100 Price in China and Availability

The Redmi K100 has been launched in China with three memory and storage configurations. The base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 3,499 yuan, approximately Rs 50,000. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs 4,099 yuan, equivalent to around Rs 58,500, while the top-end variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 4,499 yuan, approximately Rs 64,000.

The smartphone is available for pre-orders in China, with sales scheduled to begin on October 31, 2026. Xiaomi is offering the Redmi K100 in three colour options: Black, Snow Rock White, and Firefly Green.

These rupee amounts are approximate conversions of the Chinese prices and should not be treated as confirmed Indian prices. Taxes, import duties, distribution costs, and regional pricing strategies can affect the final retail price if the device launches in other markets.

Will the Redmi K100 Launch in India?

There have been no announcements regarding Xiaomi's plans to release the phone in India or even whether it will be available there. The Redmi K-series phones are usually targeted at the Chinese market, and it is unlikely that the Redmi K100 will be available in India.

Other options for Indians who are interested in a gaming smartphone include iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R, depending on their price and specifications at the moment of purchase. These smartphones also boast some performance features, but one cannot assume that any of them features 10,000 mAh battery, unless you check it yourself.

Redmi K100 is distinguished by its unique set of features that includes an outstanding screen (165 Hz OLED), the huge battery, 100 W charging, and the cooling technology. Though its Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is not the most advanced chipset of 2026, it should be enough to run all kinds of games and perform other operations.
