Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra Get New Galaxy Forever EMI Plan in India
Samsung has introduced a new Galaxy Forever EMI plan for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra in India, lowering monthly EMIs by 25 percent while deferring 40 percent of the device price to the end of 24 months.
Samsung has come up with a new payment scheme for its latest foldable handsets in India as part of Galaxy Forever initiative. The newly launched scheme is available for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. It is aimed to provide affordability in terms of reduced monthly EMIs to buy the most premium and expensive foldable phones from Samsung. The buyers have to pay 60 percent of the price of the device in the form of monthly instalments, whereas the other 40 percent is made in bullet payments after 24 months.
The new Galaxy Forever EMI scheme will offer 25 percent reduction in monthly EMIs as compared to normal EMIs. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will enjoy reduced monthly EMI of Rs 6,997 as compared to normal EMI of Rs 9,417. Whereas, the Galaxy Z Fold8 will enjoy a reduced monthly EMI of Rs 6,416 as compared to normal EMI of Rs 8,584.
Low EMI is not a case where the buyer gets a discount on the balance amount. After having used the device for 24 months, there are three different choices available for customers. These include upgrading their Galaxy smartphone, paying the balance 40 percent amount of the device price and keeping it with themselves, or returning the device and leaving the program. This is why the program is most beneficial for customers who will replace their smartphone in the next two years.

The buyback value assured by the company is 55 percent after 10 to 11 months, 50 percent after 12 to 13 months, 45 percent after 14 to 18 months and 40 percent after 19 to 25 months of the program tenure.
Samsung's new Galaxy Forever offering also entails protection under Samsung Care+, which ensures coverage against any accidental damage and liquid damage without any claim processing charges. This means the consumer does not have to pay for the protection plan separately. It could benefit consumers who buy foldable phones, especially considering how costly these devices are and how much protection they want in such devices.
