Expected to Launch in India as a Major Upgrade Over Vivo T4 Pro with Higher Price Range

Vivo is gearing up to soon launch the next smartphone in its T-series, the Vivo T5 Pro. This device will serve as the successor to the Vivo T4 Pro, which was launched in India last year featuring a 6,500mAh battery and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Although the company has not yet officially confirmed the launch date for the Vivo T5 Pro, early leaks suggest that it will be significantly superior to last year's Vivo T4 Pro, particularly in terms of battery capacity and display quality.
Tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) has claimed on X that the Vivo T5 Pro will soon launch in India. However, no specific launch date has been announced yet. Notably, the Vivo T4 Pro featured a 6,500mAh battery; consequently, the larger battery expected in the T5 Pro is considered a significant upgrade. According to several leaks, the Vivo T5 Pro could be equipped with a massive 9,020mAh battery. With such a large battery, the device is expected to offer up to two days of battery life. Information has also surfaced indicating that the smartphone will support 90W fast charging. Furthermore, leaks suggest it will feature an AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate an improvement over the Vivo T4 Pro's Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This new model is poised to enhance the gaming and scrolling experience, with its display potentially delivering a flagship-like experience within the mid-range segment.
The Vivo T5 Pro is expected to run on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16. The phone could launch out-of-the-box with this latest software.
Smartphone manufacturers are now increasingly focusing on batteries exceeding 7,000mAh, as devices featuring 9,000mAh or 10,000mAh batteries have become commonplace in recent months. For instance, the POCO X8 Pro Max 5G houses a 9,000mAh battery, while the Realme P4 Power 5G is equipped with a 10,001mAh battery. The Vivo T5 Pro appears set to continue this trend of incorporating large-capacity batteries.
While information regarding the chipset has not yet surfaced, according to some leaks, this smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The phone's performance will be determined by its real-world usage; Vivo may place a greater focus on the battery and display.
The Vivo T4 Pro was launched in August 2025 at a price of ₹27,999 for the variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It sports a 6.77-inch display and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Due to significant upgrades, the price of the Vivo T5 Pro is likely to be higher; it could potentially launch within the ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 price segment.
You should wait for the Vivo T5 Pro if you prioritize long battery life, enjoy mobile gaming, or prefer a smooth display experience provided, of course, that you are not in a rush to purchase a new phone immediately. The Vivo T5 Pro has the potential to bring about a major shift in the mid-range smartphone segment. Features such as a 9,020mAh battery, a 144Hz display, and Android 16 could make it one of the most intriguing smartphones of 2026. However, the price is also expected to increase, so it would be prudent to wait for the official launch.
