Vivo is gearing up to make a splash in the smartphone world. Last month, Vivo launched the latest flagship in its X-series the X300 Ultra in its home market of China. Now, Vivo's most premium smartphone to date, the Vivo X300 Ultra, is expected to launch soon in global markets and in India. This device is camera-centric, featuring the world's first 200MP Sony main sensor alongside a powerful 200MP periscope lens. The setup comprises one main sensor and a secondary periscope telephoto lens.
The company has planned a global launch centered around a special pre-order period running from April 16 to April 23, 2026. Market launch activities will proceed in accordance with the standard hardware launch schedule established by Vivo; however, the company will implement market-specific distribution plans, under which shipments to Austria will commence on April 24, and a separate product launch event for Spain will be held on the same day. Furthermore, according to several reports, the Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to launch in India on May 7, with sales anticipated to begin on May 14 following the launch. This will mark Vivo's first smartphone in India to feature the "Ultra" branding.
Now, let's talk about this handset's camera. As this is the world's first smartphone to feature a dual 200MP camera setup, it includes a 200MP main camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The latter supports 3.7x optical zoom, 105x digital zoom, and comes equipped with a tele-converter offering 17.4x optical output. Additionally, there is a 50MP ultra-wide camera, while on the front, a 50MP camera is provided for selfies and video calls. For video recording, the smartphone shoots in 8K resolution at 30 fps and supports professional 4K LOG recording at 120 fps across all rear lenses. This is poised to be one of the most powerful camera setups for long-range photography.

This handset features a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it an excellent screen for both content consumption and gaming. It sports a circular camera module design and a flat-edge frame; the handset will be available in three color options: Film Green, Silver Tone, and Black.
The Vivo X300 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor to deliver flagship-level performance, making it ideal for gaming and heavy multitasking. It is anticipated that the Vivo X300 Ultra, upon its arrival in India, will be equipped with a robust 7,000 mAh battery capable of providing over a day's worth of backup.
Regarding pricing, a reliable source recently revealed that the top-end variant of the Vivo X300 Ultra featuring 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage will be priced at €1,900 (approximately $2,190). Additionally, a bundled version including a zoom lens kit will also be available, with a potential price tag of around €2,300 (approximately $2,650).
In China, the device had a starting price of 6,999 Yuan (approximately ₹95,700). However, its price is expected to be higher upon its launch in India. It is worth noting that the starting price for the X300 Pro in India is ₹1,09,999. Consequently, Indian customers may have to pay an even higher premium for the Ultra model. Official pricing and availability details will be released shortly; therefore, stay tuned to AndroBranch for regular updates.
If the Vivo X300 Ultra launches in India, it could become one of the most powerful camera smartphones of 2026. It will be specifically aimed at users who desire DSLR-like photography capabilities in a smartphone.
