Although the series was launched in the Chinese market in September 2025 with more than two options – Pro and Pro Max variants, and the Ultra model was initially released in December, Xiaomi is expected to launch two models of this series globally: the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Ultra model was also recently spotted on Geekbench.

Xiaomi 17 Series Launch

As for the Xiaomi 17 Series, its global and India launch will take place simultaneously on February 28 at 6:30 PM (IST). The launch event will be held before the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The teaser shows the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in Starry Green colour. The event is titled “The New Wave of Imagery,” indicating a focus on camera and photography. The Xiaomi and Leica partnership has now entered its fourth year. The Xiaomi 17 Series will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series, which will launch three days earlier.

So far, Xiaomi has teased the Xiaomi 17 series on its Indian website and social media handles. However, the brand hasn't announced anything about the handsets' arrival in India (yet). Nor do we have any confirmed rumors about the Xiaomi 17 series' Indian pricing. Also, ahead of the launch event, a landing page on the company's website reveals that Xiaomi 17 series buyers will get a 24-month "Quality Assurance Plan," along with a free screen replacement in the first six months. During the warranty period, customers will also be able to get out-of-warranty repairs without paying labor charges.
