Fire-Boltt's first smartphone, the Boltt Evo, has surfaced on Geekbench ahead of its India launch, revealing key specifications including the Unisoc T7250 chipset, Android 16, 4GB RAM, and an expected price below Rs 20,000. Here's everything we know so far.

Finally, Fire-Boltt is ready to make its entry into the very competitive smartphone market of India. The first phone from the company is already providing a hint of what we can expect from the brand. After announcing its plans for smartphones through Flipkart, the upcoming Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo has been spotted on Geekbench, showing some hardware specs of the phone before its launch.
The Geekbench listings confirm that Fire-Boltt is planning to target the budget segment, and the Boltt Evo will be priced below Rs 20,000. Even though the exact date for its launch has not been confirmed, the Geekbench listing usually means that the company can launch the device anytime soon.
Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo Geekbench Listing
According to the Geekbench listing, the phone's name is Boltt Evo, and it is going to be equipped with Unisoc T7250 SoC. The model number is ums9230_6h10, which belongs to the Unisoc chipset.
This processor comes with an octa-core CPU setup with six efficiency cores that work at 1.61 GHz and two performance cores at 1.82 GHz. While it is meant for low-budget models, the Unisoc chipset can still ensure decent performance.
Moreover, according to the benchmark listing, the phone is expected to come with Android 16 pre-installed, thus making it one of the budget-friendly phones to come with the latest OS version. Furthermore, while the phone under test comes with 4GB RAM, there could also be options with more RAM.
In Geekbench testing, the Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo got 440 points in single-core and 1,470 points in multi-core, results that coincide with those of other devices with the same chipset.
Unisoc T7250 Focuses on Everyday Performance
The Unisoc T7250 is not a new chipset for budget smartphones. It is powering smartphones such as the OPPO A6c, POCO C71, Lava Bold N2 Pro, and Realme C71 and will give us an idea of the performance that the Fire-Boltt smartphone will deliver.
It is important to understand that the Unisoc T7250 chipset is not meant for gaming enthusiasts or power users but will do the task of handling routine functions of a smartphone including making phone calls, sending messages, surfing through social networks, watching videos, taking up online courses, and playing games.
The Fire-Boltt strategy is clear from the Geekbench listing that the company is making an entry into the smartphone segment with affordability as its primary target.
Fire-Boltt Smartphone Strategy for India
The fact that Fire-Boltt has already assured that its smartphones range would feature models from the Boltt Evo series and Boltt Ace series. It is expected to serve 4G as well as 5G customers, thus catering to its potential audience in different price ranges.
The future launch of these smartphones will take place out of India and would be available only at Flipkart, considering the fact that the company prefers local manufacturing and distribution via one of India’s biggest e-commerce websites.
Earlier, there were reports that Fire-Boltt is planning to unveil two to three smartphones which would cost less than Rs 20,000, and these would be driven by the Unisoc chipset.
However, Fire-Boltt enters the fray amid stiff competition in the affordable smartphones category in India. Some companies have reappeared on the scene or expanded into the affordable smartphones space with extremely competitively-priced models.
Acer and Alcatel have resurfaced as a result of licensing agreements, and an Indian company called Ai+ has continued to cater to budget-conscious customers by offering feature-loaded smartphones at competitive prices. Established names such as Lava, POCO, Realme, and OPPO have been dominating this segment, with many options in different price ranges.
Thus, Fire-Boltt will require much more than just a low price to be successful. Factors such as regular software updates, good after-sales service, camera performance, battery life, and overall user experience will also matter significantly.
The company may also take advantage of its portfolio of watches, earbuds, and other wearable technologies to increase the product integration, which would give extra value for consumers who use Fire-Boltt gadgets.
From what has been made known so far, the Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo seems to be targeted at first time smartphone buyers, students, and those upgrading from old 4G phones. The pre-installed Android 16 operating system and well-tested Unisoc processor are good indicators that Fire-Boltt might have a strong entry-level product when offered at reasonable prices.
Nevertheless, potential customers need to wait until the release date to look into crucial elements such as screen, camera module, battery capacity, charging rate, performance, and software updates. It is only then that the Boltt Evo will prove its worth compared to competing smartphones by brands like Lava, POCO, Realme, and OPPO.
In case Fire-Boltt comes up with aggressive pricing coupled with solid software and after sales support, its first smartphone might just find a good place in India's competitive budget smartphone segment.
