OnePlus has launched the affordable OnePlus N6 in India featuring a massive 8,000mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, OxygenOS 16, 120Hz display, AI features, and launch offers that reduce the effective starting price to Rs 19,999.

The OnePlus company has launched a budget smartphone model named OnePlus N6 in India. This is the first budget model of the company ever to be launched in India. The OnePlus N6 is designed to cater to the needs of those users who are looking for phones with battery backup and efficient functionality along with great software experience. The OnePlus N6 features a huge battery of 8000 mAh, latest version of Oxygen OS 16 running on Android 16, and a brand new chipset called MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex in India.
With offers that have slashed the cost to less than Rs. 20,000, the OnePlus N6 looks like it will be competing with value phones of iQOO, Redmi, and Realme.
OnePlus N6 Price in India and Availability
OnePlus N6 can be purchased in two variants based on memory. The first variant which has 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 22,999 and the second variant which has 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage has a price tag of Rs 24,999.
Two color options will be provided with OnePlus N6 – Fresh Mint and Midnight Black.
It is going to hit Amazon India on July 4. On the occasion of launch offers, OnePlus will provide a Rs 2,000 bank discount and Rs 1,000 more discount as part of Prime Day discounts, making the effective price start at Rs 19,999. At this price, OnePlus N6 is one of the most interesting battery smartphones in the category.
OnePlus N6 Price in India
Variant | Price |
4GB RAM + 128GB Storage | Rs 22,999 |
6GB RAM + 128GB Storage | Rs 24,999 |
Battery
There is no doubt that the most remarkable feature of the OnePlus N6 is the huge 8000 mAh battery, which is one of the largest batteries used in any OnePlus smartphone. As per the company's claim, the battery can easily last up to three days after fully charged, which makes it perfect for heavy users, travelers, students, and professionals who hate frequent charging.
It comes with the ability of 45W SuperVOOC Fast Charging, Bypass Charging during gaming and 5W Reverse Wired Charging to allow you to charge other devices, such as your accessories or smartphones when required.
Moreover, the company has emphasized battery life. They claim that their battery will last up to 80% of its actual capacity after seven years of regular usage. It has been certified for up to 1600 charge/discharge cycles and comes with numerous safety features to protect it from overheating, overcharging, accidental drops, flat compression, and extremely high/low temperatures. The device can easily work in temperatures ranging between -20°C to 56°C.
Processor
The OnePlus N6 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, which is the very first time for the chipset to be seen in India. The chipset is basically an enhanced iteration of the Dimensity 6300 chipset with improved multitasking capability and energy efficiency for daily use.
The Dimensity 6360 Apex is supported by the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card, LPDDR4X memory, and UFS 2.0 storage. Although it is not built with heavy gaming users in mind, it should manage to support common activities like social media, watching videos, browsing the internet, and light gaming.
In order to keep its performance stable during gaming or heavy processing activities, OnePlus has used the cooling technology of a 5,300mm² vapour chamber.
OxygenOS 16 Based on Android 16
Software continues to be one of the main assets of OnePlus, and the N6 comes preloaded with the newest OxygenOS 16 on top of Android 16 right out of the box.
Customers get the same smooth and fast software experience seen in OnePlus' premium smartphones with a clean interface that does not have much bloatware. Yet, there is no significant software support in comparison with flagships, with only two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
Display
OnePlus N6 boasts a 6.75 inches HD+ LCD screen which supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. It means that this smartphone offers visibly smoother scrolling and animation performance compared to the 60Hz screens.
In addition, the screen is capable of achieving up to 1,200 nits of maximum brightness and although it lacks the Full HD+ resolution, it performs significantly better because of the higher refresh rate.
Durable Design
Despite housing such a large battery, the OnePlus N6 manages to keep a relatively slim profile at 8.8mm thickness while weighing approximately 208 grams.
Durability has also received significant attention. The smartphone features:
MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification
ArmorShell Protection
Reinforced aluminium frame
Toughened display glass
Airbag corner cushioning
IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance
These additions should provide better protection against accidental drops and everyday wear.
Camera Setup
Photography duties are handled by a 50MP primary rear camera, accompanied by a secondary 2MP sensor. On the front, users get an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and social media content.
The camera software includes multiple shooting modes, including:
Night Mode
Portrait
Panorama
Time-Lapse
Slow Motion
Motion Photos
Dual-View Video
While camera hardware isn't the strongest selling point, the software offers enough versatility for everyday photography.
AI Features Bring Smarter User Experience
OnePlus has also integrated several AI-powered features into the N6.
Users can take advantage of:
AI Eraser
AI Unblur
AI Ultra Clarity
AI Document Scanning
AI Note Assistance
Google Gemini integration
Additionally, AI-powered battery optimization intelligently learns charging habits to improve long-term battery health and charging efficiency.
Connectivity Features
The OnePlus N6 supports all essential connectivity options, including:
5G connectivity
Dual 4G VoLTE
Wi-Fi 5
Bluetooth 5.3
GPS
USB Type-C
OTG support
Dual SIM functionality

The OnePlus N6 is a great device due to its high battery capacity and the amazing OxygenOS user experience; nevertheless, the competition in the same price range is tough.
There are devices such as the iQOO Z11x that provide higher performance in the form of a strong MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor and a sharper Full HD+ screen for roughly the same price. But the OnePlus N6 has some advantages – for example, its battery is much larger, equal to 8,000mAh.
Practical aspects have been prioritized by OnePlus in the N6 device. The massive battery capacity of 8,000mAh, 120Hz display, OxygenOS 16 operating system, build quality, and good price point at which it is initially offered make this phone an interesting choice in the market of budget smartphones.
While other phones might boast better performance in terms of processor power or screen resolution, no other phone can match the N6 in terms of its battery capacity, uncluttered software, and overall value proposition. Given the launch deals that bring the price below Rs 20,000, the OnePlus N6 stands out as a great choice for those who need a reliable phone that can last several days without charging.
