OpenAI Introduces Conversation Branching in ChatGPT for Web Users

OpenAI has introduced a new feature in ChatGPT known as conversation branching with the aim of providing users with greater flexibility when conversing with the AI. Through the feature update, you are now able to venture down alternate conversation paths without compromising the original thread.

For instance, if you are right in the middle of a conversation and feel like you want to experiment with an alternate idea or direction, you can deviate into a different track. That is, you won't have to overwrite your current chat anymore or begin anew everything remains nicely compartmentalized.
