We had reported the launch of the Samsung Galaxy M17e in our previous blog on AndroBranch, which included the official launch of this new device officially announced by Samsung is on March 17th. Now, the pricing details of the Samsung Galaxy M17e are also coming out. The phone's microsite is live on Amazon.in, where many of its key features have been revealed. According to tipster Sanju Chaudhary, its price could be around ₹13,999, which would put it in the sub-₹15,000 budget segment.
Talking about the phone's specifications, it will be equipped with a large 6,000mAh battery. The company claims that it will provide up to 26 hours of video playback time. It claims to offer the longest video playback time in its segment. The 6.7-inch HD+ display will provide video viewing pleasure. The phone will be only 8.2mm thick. Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer has been used on the back panel. In terms of durability, the phone will be IP54 splash and dust resistant.
The phone will have a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth scrolling and gaming experience. The Samsung Galaxy M17e will receive six years of software updates. This means the phone will remain updated and secure until 2032, the longest in its segment. It will be a 5G smartphone with support for 12 5G bands. It will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. This phone will run on One UI 8 based on Android 16. It will have features like text, image, and music search. It will also have support for Samsung Knox Security and Samsung Wallet.
The phone will have a dual rear camera setup on the back, which includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, an 8MP front camera will be provided in a punch-hole design.
The phone is available in two color options, Blitz Blue and Vibe Violet. There are some options at this price like Realme S83 which comes with a 7000mAh battery and Moto G57 Power which comes with a more powerful chipset. However, Samsung Galaxy M17e can be a good option due to its long software support and battery backup.
