Track PAN Card Status Instantly Using Aadhaar Mobile Number or Name

Waiting for your PAN card when you have already submitted your application may seem like a mystery to many people; however, there is one thing that people need to know that the whole process is quite more transparent than most of them think it to be. There are several ways you can check the status of your application in real-time, and all you need to have is just one or two things.
So here is how you do that.
Check PAN Status Online (Most Common Method)
There is nothing simpler than monitoring your PAN Card through the official website offered by the company itself, such as the company Protean eGov Technologies Limited formerly known as NSDL, and UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited.
After visiting any of the above-suggested websites, one will easily be able to check the status of their PAN Card. One needs to click on the option ‘PAN – New/Change Request’, followed by entering their 15-digit acknowledgement number. In case one does not have the acknowledgement number at hand, there is no problem in choosing the name and date of birth search option as well. By doing so, the status of the PAN Card, i.e., whether in process, dispatched, or pending, will get displayed immediately on the screen.
Check PAN Status Using Aadhaar (For e-PAN Users)
In case you have chosen the immediate e-PAN issuance through Aadhaar, then the process becomes very quick. Go to the portal of Income Tax Department India and select 'Instant e-PAN' from it.
Then select the option 'Check Status/Download e-PAN', put your Aadhaar number here, and confirm the same by the OTP that you receive via SMS on your registered mobile number. Your status would appear instantly and if your PAN card is issued, you can download it too.
This approach is especially helpful for those applicants who chose the Aadhaar-enabled instant PAN service.
Check PAN Status via Mobile Number (SMS or Call)
For those who prefer not to use websites, offline options are still available and equally efficient. One of the simplest methods is via SMS. Just type:
NSDLPAN <15-digit acknowledgement number>
…and send it to 57575. You’ll receive your PAN status as a reply message shortly.
Alternatively, you can call the PAN helpline and provide your acknowledgement number to get an update. This is a convenient option for users who want direct assistance or don’t have internet access.
Check PAN Status via WhatsApp
PAN status check is also now possible through the messaging platform WhatsApp. You just have to send a plain 'Hi' text message to the official number that provides PAN services. Once you are in, choose the ‘Status of Application’ feature, input your acknowledgment number, and your status will be provided immediately through the chat.
This technique is unique in terms of convenience and relatability, particularly among users familiar with instant messaging platforms.
Now, one does not have to wait forever or go around offices to see their PAN card application status. There are now a variety of digital as well as physical ways through which checking your PAN card application status has become quite easy.
Just make sure that you enter the correct information. And even if you do not have an acknowledgement number, you will be able to check your application status using other means as well.
