India is preparing to host the largest Artificial Intelligence (AI) summit in New Delhi this week, focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy, governance, and everyday life. The summit will be held from February 16 to 20, 2026. It will be the first global AI summit to be held in the Global South, a major achievement for India.

The summit is expected to attract participation from over 100 countries, placing India at the center of the global AI discussion. Preparations have already begun, with organizers developing detailed logistics plans to manage snack and food needs. Quick commerce platform Zepto will set up a dedicated dark store inside the summit venue, while Swiggy will collaborate with on-ground food kiosks to ensure seamless food distribution for thousands of attendees.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place at the Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. This five-day conference is considered one of the world's leading events on artificial intelligence. Registration is available on the official website. It will include global delegates, tech experts, startups, and government officials. Envisioned as a national platform showcasing the practical applications of AI, the expo brings together over 300 exhibitors from India and over 30 countries, including over 10 thematic pavilions, 13 country pavilions, and over 600 startups. It highlights policy, innovation, and widespread implementation under one roof.
This is the fourth consecutive International AI Summit; it has previously been held in the UK, South Korea, and France. The main topics of discussion at this summit will be international collaboration and responsible AI development. The summit will be based on three major pillars - first People, second Planet (Environment) and third Progress. If we talk about the main topics of discussion, then it will be development of AI skills, Sustainable AI systems, use of AI in economic and social sectors. Along with this, seven international working groups will present practical proposals, which include Common AI Infrastructure, Trusted AI Systems, AI Commons and AI applications in various sectors. The aim of the summit is not just discussion, but to deliver implementable results. Special focus will be on low energy consuming AI, inclusive development, and the role of AI in developed and developing countries.
Registration for the summit has begun on the official website, impact.indiaai.gov.in. The website's homepage offers a "Register Now" option, from which you can select "Register as Delegate." During registration, applicants must enter personal information, such as contact details and a photo. They must then fill in information about their profession. The registration process is considered complete once both steps are completed.
