GTA 6 has reportedly suffered another gameplay leak, with new footage showing Jason using a taser and a brief cutscene. The leak comes from CyberLeek ahead of Rockstar’s upcoming official GTA 6 showcase.

Another leak for Grand Theft Auto 6 is said to have happened as newly released footage shows protagonist Jason firing a taser and hints at a cutscene in the video game. This particular leak has come after some GTA 6 gameplay footage and an image of the entire map of the video game were posted on the internet.
This latest video has been reported to be leaked by the cyber group that calls itself CyberLeek. The group that had made threats before about releasing more footage of the game has kept their promise and uploaded another video on their website. However, the footage has now gone viral on social media websites while the developers of the video game seem to be trying to pull off the video footage from the internet.
Just like in the case of previous leaks, the new footage comes with heavy promotion of a cryptocurrency memecoin. This has caused further worry for users, with some internet users speculating that the promotion of the cryptocurrency might have been done as part of an elaborate scheme to scam people. The source of the GTA 6 footage is still not known, and it is not known when exactly the footage was recorded.
GTA 6 Leak Shows Taser Gameplay and Possible Story Footage
This latest video seems to show a few seconds of gameplay, with the use of taser. Though this video is rather short, the inclusion of cutscenes might be a little bit serious as there is a chance that story-related information would leak, as long as CyberLeek releases videos like this one.
CyberLeek has also included a message over the leaked video, saying that “No physical discs? Then more leeks!” This reference seems to be linked to the controversy on physical release of GTA 6 and the move to digital distribution in the video game industry.
With the inclusion of the cutscene, it becomes problematic for gamers who wish to enjoy the story of GTA 6 without getting any spoilers prior to its release. If there will be more leaks, then it is possible that information about the characters, the missions, the locations or even story itself would leak to the internet.
So far, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive has yet to confirm the validity of the footage. At this time of writing, they have not released any statement about this recent leak incident.
Earlier GTA 6 Gameplay
The latest leak comes after two more videos that supposedly showcase the gameplay of GTA 6 were released online. One video allegedly features Jason playing basketball outside his house, while another video shows Jason driving and beating up an NPC character.
Along with the videos, an image that claims to be the full map of GTA 6 was also released online. However, the legitimacy of the images and video clips has not been confirmed. However, the video clips garnered considerable attention owing to the apparent attempts at deleting them from social media platforms.
The leaked materials allegedly point users towards a website and cryptocurrency called CyberLeek. The hackers have also released a manifesto outlining their demands towards Rockstar Games.
It seems like the issues raised by CyberLeek relate to the industry’s dependence on digital content, the stripping away of any previous single-player purchases along with the questionable practice of downloading content. In the same way, it is mentioned that there is no physical disc for GTA 6 and the issue of Ubisoft’s The Crew, which played an important role in the Stop Killing Games consumer movement.
CyberLeek is using the GTA 6 content to warn other publishers that because Rockstar is vulnerable, any other gaming company might also be targeted.
Rockstar and Take-Two Face Another GTA 6 Leak
The timing of the leak becomes even more relevant considering the upcoming promotional launch of GTA 6. Recently, Rockstar has announced a special show called Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look that will air exclusively on Netflix on August 27th.
According to reports, the special will be available only via Netflix for six hours before becoming accessible via other media, including YouTube. This creates an uncomfortable situation for Rockstar considering the company is now working on yet another release of its official GTA 6 footage in spite of the ongoing leaks.
For Rockstar, preventing leaks has been challenging during the entire process of developing GTA 6 as the game has already seen several major leaks with one of them becoming the biggest video game leak in recent years.
GTA 6 Has Faced Major Leaks Since 2022
However, the largest breach of GTA 6 happened in 2022 when over 90 videos and images from an early development version of the game were released online due to hacking of Rockstar's systems.
Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two CEO, would later say that the leak was very emotional and frustrating for the development team, but assured that it did not have any significant effect on the business.
Also, GTA 6 was leaked in December 2023 when the first trailer of the game became available on X/Twitter less than 24 hours before the official premiere. Rockstar decided to release the trailer earlier than expected.
The early leak annoyed many Rockstar game developers, some of which aired their disappointment via social media. Nevertheless, the trailer attracted a lot of publicity and very soon became one of the most anticipated announcements in the gaming industry.
More recently, Rockstar has stated that the third party breached some non-material information regarding the company. It was assured that this had no effect on Rockstar as a company or any of the gamers playing its games.
GTA 6 Leak Could Lead to More Spoilers
The greatest issue regarding the current scenario is not the leaking itself but what would happen if CyberLeek were to continue sharing content.
Short gameplay footage may give away some information that could otherwise be discovered by gamers once the game has been released. Longer videos such as cutscenes and mission footage, however, have a chance of giving away much more – such as main characters, plot twists and character relations.
GTA 6 is such an anticipated game that even a short snippet of its narrative can be shared across the web within a few minutes. For players who wish to avoid spoilers, they need to exercise caution regarding any GTA 6 related posts within the next few days.
Furthermore, the use of cryptocurrency as the incentive for posting the game footage raises another issue. The GTA 6 hype is worth millions in value and, as such, users should be careful when dealing with any cryptocurrency associated with the leaking of the game content.
Latest GTA 6 Footage
At the moment, the authenticity and age of this latest footage remain unknown. Although the video might seem realistic and shows the gameplay similar to what was found from the previous leaks of GTA 6, only Rockstar Games will be able to verify if the video is authentic and which development build it is derived from.
The difference between the two is that the footage taken from a development build that took place several years ago cannot give accurate representation of the final product. Rockstar Games have been working on GTA 6 for years, and many details can be very different by the time the game gets released.
Therefore, until the company comments on this particular leak, it will be best to assume that this video and map are not verified.
GTA 6 Release Date Remains November 2026
However, considering the latest leak, it should be noted that Rockstar hasn’t announced any changes in the release schedule of the game. It will be released on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
It is also anticipated that the players will be brought back to the fictional state of Leonida and Vice City of today, featuring Jason and Lucia as its main characters.
As yet another official GTA 6 reveal event scheduled for August 27 draws near, there could be much more credible information regarding the game revealed in the coming days. Nevertheless, with the continued threats from CyberLeek, one might have to deal with even more leaks and spoilers prior to the climax of the official marketing campaign from Rockstar.
In any case, the most recent taser video and cutscene footage should be approached with caution. Until Rockstar or Take-Two provides confirmation, one cannot be sure that everything depicted is the final version of GTA 6.
