Apple is Bringing Polls to iMessage

Apple is long overdue in adding one of the most popular features to iMessage polls. This was revealed at WWDC on Monday, and it represents a huge advance for users of iMessage who've been waiting ages for the right to vote on matters within group chats directly. Although this feature has been around for a while on other messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram, Apple is now catching up and providing customers with an enhanced interactive group chat experience within its default Messages app.

Apple is Bringing Polls to iMessage

The new iMessage polls feature will enable users to quickly make in-chat polls to vote on various subjects. Whether you're deciding where to have your next girls' brunch or which book your book club should read next, this feature makes planning with groups and friends much simpler. Polls can be made right within group chats, allowing all people in the discussion to vote in a organized and transparent manner.

To the thrill is added the integration with Apple Intelligence. As told by Apple, this intelligent system will have the ability to recommend polls depending on the context of your discussions. For example, if a person in the chat queries, "What do we want to have?", iMessage can automatically propose to build a poll with suggestions. This enhances the process of poll-making even more effortless and natural, enabling users to make choices instantly without disrupting the conversation.

While the inclusion of polls might not be revolutionary at first glance, it is a significant enhancement to the usability of iMessage. It's a testament that Apple is hearing its people and actively trying to catch up with, if not surpass, the feature bases of other mainstream messaging apps. With polls, people now have a more efficient and better-organized means to organize and make decisions from within their group conversations.
