ASUS Zenbook 14 Features and Specifications

One of the most impressive features of the newly launched ASUS Zenbook 14 series is the portable nature of the laptop. It is a slim laptop and weighs only 1.1kg in terms of weight and is ideal for students and working professionals who often travel carrying their laptops. Moreover, ASUS has used its Ceraluminum material for coating, which is said to be scratch-proof, shockproof, smudge-resistant and wear resistant as well. The laptop has been tested under MIL-STD-810H standards as well for durability purposes.

As far as the processor is concerned, ASUS has three types available for its customers. The UX3480AA series is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor while the UX3480KA series is available with the AMD Ryzen AI 7 345 chipset. On the other hand, the UX3480QA series comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor.

The screen specifications are different on the three configurations. The configuration using an Intel chip is provided with a 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and is hence the best among all when it comes to screen quality and visual experience. The one using the AMD chip is provided with a 14-inch FHD+ OLED touchscreen with a 60Hz refresh rate, together with stylus compatibility that will help you take down notes, draw, etc. On the other hand, the one with the Snapdragon X chip has a 14-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate.

When it comes to memory and storage capacity, all three have 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. This is more than enough when it comes to normal productivity tasks, office apps, browsing, multitasking and general professional usage. However, depending on your needs in terms of application performance, you may want to assess what configuration will suit you the most.

AI performance is yet another important highlight of the new Zenbook 14 series of laptops. The Intel and AMD models have a maximum NPU performance of 50 TOPS, while the Snapdragon X version provides up to 45 TOPS of AI performance. These dedicated NPU chips are supposed to perform all the AI-supported tasks within the laptop without having to use cloud computing resources. This could come in handy with an increase in the number of AI capabilities of various Windows productivity tools.

The capacity of the built-in battery differs in each of the three versions of the laptop. The battery of the Intel and AMD models is 70Wh, while the battery of the Snapdragon X model is 50Wh. According to ASUS, the new series of Zenbook 14 laptops can operate up to 33 hours on one battery charge, but it depends on the type of processor used and user activity. All the models support 68W USB-C charging with the possibility of charging up to 50 per cent within half an hour.
