The OPPO Find X10 Pro Max can be called OPPO’s most daring flagship to date, equipped with three 200 MP Hasselblad cameras, an 8,000 mAh battery, a 2K 144 Hz screen, and other great features. Here’s what’s known about

OPPO Find X10 Pro Max

OPPO seems to be planning a significant overhaul for its flagship Find X series. With the upcoming release of OPPO Find X10 Pro Max, it is said that a whole new design approach will be introduced alongside a quest for maximum performance in terms of camera hardware and power capacity. Just before the anticipated Chinese launch of this month, a leaked render of the smartphone has supposedly surfaced online showcasing a big rear camera bump and Hasselblad logo.

Assuming that the leaks hold true, then OPPO’s upcoming Find X10 Pro Max could potentially be among its most impressive smartphones to date. This smartphone is speculated to occupy the top spot within the Find X10 series and could represent OPPO’s transition to a “Pro Max” instead of an “Ultra” variant.

OPPO Find X10 Pro Max Design Leaked

A Chinese tipster, Dingjiao Shuma, has released renders which allegedly reveal the back of the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max. It is easy to spot that the major redesign here is the huge horizontal camera bump, located in the top half of the back plate of the smartphone. In this bigger rectangle there is a smaller square where there are three big camera lenses and next to them is another sensor plus LED flash.

In the leaked images, there are at least two variants of the smartphone presented. The first one is in the blue color and looks very contemporary. There is also a white version of the device with Hasselblad branding on the back. OPPO continues to advertise its collaboration with Hasselblad in its premium devices and the presence of this branding indicates that photography will again be one of the strong points of the Find X lineup.

The new camera module looks very different compared to the old Find X Ultra phones. Instead of just enlarging the camera island, the company seems to be working on a very distinctive horizontal camera layout.

Triple Cameras

It would seem that the actual camera hardware is the area in which the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max may distinguish itself from other flagship phones. The leaked information suggests that OPPO's upcoming phone may have three rear cameras with 200MP resolution, possibly for the main, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto cameras.

Should the information turn out to be true, OPPO would be the first smartphone manufacturer to equip all three cameras with sensors that have 200MP resolution. Although the number of megapixels is not necessarily an indicator of superior photography quality, it certainly grants OPPO more leeway while processing and cropping photos.

A 200MP ultrawide camera would be especially intriguing. Typically, ultrawide sensors use low-resolution sensors compared to the main camera sensor, so a 200MP sensor would offer additional leeway for digital cropping and help with both macro photography and stabilization of videos. The periscope telephoto camera would also get extra power from the added resolution while photographing far-off objects.

But how well these cameras would perform in real life would largely be dictated by the sensor size and lenses used, as well as image processing and OPPO's computational photography. Samples of the camera would thus become more relevant than megapixels when the phone launches.

Battery and Display

It’s not the camera system alone that the phone is expected to have as its highlight. The OPPO Find X10 Pro Max is rumored to come with an 8,000 mAh battery. This would certainly make it one of the biggest batteries ever seen on a flagship phone.

A huge battery like that will surely increase the phone's stamina, especially since it will be paired with efficient new flagship chipsets and LTPO display technology. The big battery will also help OPPO go against smartphones that emphasize their good stamina without making you use the power bank all the time.

For the screen, the phone will supposedly come with a 6.78 inches 2K LTPO OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The combination of high-resolution, LTPO and high refresh rate may make this display ideal for both gaming and regular use. Since LTPO allows the refresh rate to change depending on what's going on on the screen, it will certainly help the device save energy.

Under the hood, the phone will allegedly be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. It will also feature a 50MP autofocus selfie camera.

OPPO Could Introduce a New Pro Max Strategy

The new Find X10 Pro Max might end up meaning more than just an ordinary flagship launch event for OPPO. It looks like the Chinese company is trying out the Pro Max name for its high-end version of the Find X line as opposed to going on with the Ultra name which had been used by the older generation of OPPO phones.

The Pro Max naming scheme seems to be growing very popular among premium smartphone manufacturers as brands try to differentiate their very best phones from regular Pro versions. While the Pro Max brand names have been seen on the A-series from OPPO, this time around, using the same on the flagship Find X series phones would make the name carry more value.

It has been rumored that the Find X10 line of phones will come in the form of OPPO Find X10E, Find X10, and Find X10 Pro Max, even though OPPO has not officially launched the phone.

OPPO Find X10 Pro Max India Launch and Price

OPPO Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max could be seen in the international market, while their India launch could happen sometime in October. According to reports, the Find X10 Pro Max will be priced somewhere close to Rs 1.5 lakh in India.

With the suggested price tag, the device will surely belong to the segment of ultra-premium smartphones. As per sources, the phone can position itself under the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, but it could be priced much higher than the OPPO Find X9 Pro.

Being priced close to Rs 1.5 lakh, the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max will compete with premium phones from brands like Apple and Samsung. This is the case where the execution of OPPO becomes especially crucial since at such price levels people do not buy phones only for the specs.

From the specifications leaked out, the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max appears to be a very ambitious phone. A 2K 144Hz LTPO OLED screen, Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, 8,000mAh battery, and possibly three 200MP Hasselblad cameras would be a very powerful specification list.

But flagship level photography involves many other things apart from megapixels. It will be important for OPPO to prove the excellence of the high-megapixel camera in various conditions. Battery optimization, thermal management, and software performance will also be key elements.

At this point in time, the specifications are not officially confirmed by OPPO. So, we must wait for the actual launch before coming to any conclusion on this. But if OPPO manages to marry the hardware with excellent camera processing, the Find X10 Pro Max might emerge as one of the most fascinating smartphones in the Android ecosystem in 2023.
