Sony has confirmed Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy as the first PS Plus Premium game for July 2026. Here's everything you need to know.
The first game for PlayStation Plus Premium for July 2026 has been officially announced by Sony, allowing users to know what will be included in the Classics Catalog this month. In the recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, Sony has revealed that the cult classic PS2 action-adventure game Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy will make its way into the lineup of this service.
Based on the usual PlayStation Plus release calendar, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy is expected to be included into the PS Plus Premium Classics Catalog on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. This title is expected to appear along with all other new additions to the PS Plus Extra and Premium collections. On this day, Sony is also expected to announce new games that will exit the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
There is a slim chance that the release date may be regionalized depending on the region. Sony recently began to experiment with a staggered rollout of the PlayStation Plus catalog in the USA, UK, and Japan, which implies different days of receiving catalog updates for different countries. Nevertheless, the previous Premium classic was released all around the world at once, and there will be only one classic game added this month, thus, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy will most likely launch without any delays.
The game, originally developed for PlayStation 2, gained popularity due to unusual gameplay, including third-person shooting and psychic abilities. In this game, the player will take the role of Nick Scryer, who will be able to use telekinesis, mind control, pyrokinesis, and other supernatural abilities to fight enemies and pass challenges. This game still attracts players many years after its release.
At the moment, Sony hasn't released the complete list of PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog updates for July 2026. The complete list of games that will join the subscription service is expected to be released on Wednesday, July 15. Till that time, the only confirmed update is Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy.
