Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Launched in Japan With 10,000mAh Battery, 100W Charging

Xiaomi is now offering its first ever Pro Max phone in the Redmi Note range by introducing the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in Japan. The smartphone features a huge 10,000 mAh battery capacity with 100 W fast charging capabilities and a 1.5K resolution 120Hz AMOLED display, but falls behind in terms of chipsets and cameras as compared to Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

Redmi Note Series of smartphones by Xiaomi has been updated with the recent addition of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max model in the Japanese market. It is important to note that it is the first-ever Pro Max variant in Redmi Note series, as well as the first device of the company with a whopping 10,000mAh battery pack. For the higher-end version with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, the price stands at JPY 99,980 which is around Rs 60,000.

In addition to the aforementioned price range, Xiaomi is also offering an early bird discount on the newly launched smartphone. The discount on both the variants is equal to JPY 10,000 or approximately Rs 6,000 up till 14th October. The release of the smartphone in Japan is planned for tomorrow.

The pricing of the smartphone places it in a completely different league in comparison with the Redmi Note series as far as its earlier models are concerned.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max India Launch

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max India release has not been confirmed by Xiaomi yet. Previously, the company was expecting to launch the smartphone globally in Malaysia on August 27, but now this launch has been shifted to September 2.

In case of India, previously a report suggested that the company might unveil the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max on September 15. However, no official confirmation from the company has been seen and there is no official teaser campaign by Redmi regarding the launch of their new smartphones.

According to reports, in case of an actual launch, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max would be significantly costlier than other Pro-series phones. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ had an introductory price of Rs 37,999 in India, while some reports suggested a price rise of Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 for the new Pro models.

This means that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max might come with an introductory price above Rs 40,000.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Display and Design

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Additionally, the screen has a peak brightness of 3,500 nits and a 3,200 Hz touch sampling rate, and it provides specifications that will satisfy the requirements of those users who consume multimedia frequently.

These specifications concerning the size and resolution of the screen have not much difference from the same specifications of Redmi Note 15 Pro+, having a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED screen.
