Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leaks Reveal New Design Powerful Specs and Lower Price

It appears that Samsung is preparing for its next major flagship launch, with the Galaxy S26 series set to debut later this month. Based on the latest set of leaks, it seems that Samsung may be launching the series on February 25, which would put it right on track with its annual flagship launch schedule. In the lead-up to this rumored launch, teaser posters of the Galaxy S26 Ultra have appeared online, giving us a better idea of how Samsung plans to upgrade its most powerful device yet.

The leaked posters were shared by tipster Evan Blass on his Substack, and they appear to indicate that Samsung is going for a design refresh rather than a complete overhaul. At least at first, the Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to be very much a “Galaxy Ultra” device, but upon closer inspection, there are some interesting tweaks that set it apart from its predecessor.

One of the most prominent points of discussion is the new design for the rear camera system. As per the leaked images, Samsung could be adopting a design language that takes cues from its foldable series, especially the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The S26 Ultra seems to come with a pill-shaped vertical camera module that holds a triple camera system, and another camera sensor and LED flash are placed alongside this module. This new design makes the smartphone look more organized and less cluttered compared to the previous Ultra series, but still retains the premium and futuristic look.

Another thing that will come as a relief to loyal Galaxy Ultra series fans is the fact that the S Pen will still be supported. There were rumors that Samsung might ditch the S Pen in order to create more space inside the device, but it is obvious from the leaked marketing material that this is not the case. The S Pen is featured right alongside the device, and this is a clear indication that Samsung is committed to one of the Ultra series’ most iconic features. What is even more interesting is that the S Pen featured in the teaser is a different color from the device itself, which means that Samsung might be offering contrasting colors this time around. The device that has been leaked is blue, and it looks quite elegant.

However, aside from the design, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to be a real powerhouse based on the information that has been leaked so far. In terms of the hardware, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which will place it at the top of the Android performance chart in 2026. This processor is expected to offer significant improvements in terms of performance as well as AI-related tasks, which Samsung has been pushing aggressively in its recent flagships.

Battery life also appears to be a key area of emphasis. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to come with a 5,000mAh battery, complemented by 60W fast charging. Although the battery capacity does not appear to be a drastic improvement over the last generation, the fast charging feature could be a game-changer for heavy users who tend to top off their batteries multiple times a day.

Coming to the display, Samsung is rumored to include a massive 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Going by Samsung’s history, one can expect top-notch brightness, blacks, and animations, making it a perfect device for gaming, media consumption, and productivity. The device is also rumored to arrive with Android 16 out of the box, topped with Samsung’s One UI 8.5, which should offer the latest software experience and timely updates. Storage variants are also rumored to begin at 256GB, which is in line with the Ultra’s premium positioning.

The camera system is also expected to be one of the major attractions in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Rumors indicate that Samsung is going to continue with its amazing 200MP primary sensor, which is expected to be further enhanced with better image processing and night shooting capabilities. Alongside the primary sensor, the device is also expected to come with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a highly capable 50MP periscope telephoto camera. On the front, the device is expected to come with a 12MP selfie shooter.

Notably, pricing leaks also suggest that Samsung could make the Galaxy S26 Ultra a slightly more competitive offering in the market this year. According to the leak, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be priced at around EUR 1,369, which is about EUR 100 lower than the launch price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This is equivalent to around Rs 1,50,000 in Indian rupees, although this will be subject to change based on taxes and regional adjustments. If this is indeed true, it could make the S26 Ultra a more desirable offering in the market for consumers looking at other ultra-premium flagships.

With its new design, S Pen support, impressive hardware, and possibly more aggressive pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is looking to be one of the most anticipated flagship smartphones of the year. As always, all eyes are now on Samsung’s rumored launch event on February 25, where we should finally see what the Galaxy S26 Ultra has to offer.
