Vivo is set to revamp its high-end mid-range V-series portfolio in India with the arrival of the Vivo V60, the successor of the Vivo V50, which launched in February 2025 at a price of ₹34,999. The V-series has consistently emphasized slim designs, beautiful screens, and camera capabilities, and this year is no exception. According to the recent teaser from Vivo, the V60 will come with a humongous 6,500mAh battery, said to be the thinnest in its category to provide such a capacity a daring statement of intent that hints at what might be Vivo's most polished V-series phone yet.

Vivo V60 Teased with Slim Quad-Curved Design
The official Vivo V60 teaser has popped up on Vivo's Indian website, showcasing a slim, quad-curved screen that embodies premium looks. Vivo assures that the phone will feel extremely comfortable in hand even when used for long periods of time something that harmonizes with the V-series lineage of ergonomic perfection.
From the front, the V60 looks quite similar to its predecessor, the Vivo V50, but flip it around and you’ll notice a redesigned vertical camera module, drawing inspiration from the X200 FE. This new design replaces the circular camera module seen on the V50. Vivo has retained the popular Aura Ring Light, now repositioned to the right side of the camera setup, further enhancing low-light portraits and creative shots.
Colour Options
Vivo is introducing three new colourways with the V60:
Auspicious Gold
Moonlit Blue
Mist Gray
These hues are more refined and mature than the V50's bold colour options of Starry Blue, Rose Red, and Titanium Gray. Vivo's colour options here seem to be more geared towards mass appeal for those seeking a mix of luxury and restraint.
Battery Upgrade
Arguably the biggest reveal so far is the 6,500mAh battery, an improvement over the 6,000mAh battery in the Vivo V50. Vivo is claiming that even with the bigger battery, the V60 will remain ultra-thin, which is a rare achievement in this category. The V50 already had great battery life easily lasting a day of moderate to heavy usage so a still larger battery should provide even greater endurance and screen-on times.
Camera
Photography has been the signature of Vivo's V-series, and the V60 will keep the collaboration with Zeiss, providing high-performance camera hardware and software. Although full details have not been announced yet, Vivo confirms that the V60 will provide up to 100x digital zoom, something also available on the V50.
For perspective, the Vivo V50 had on board:
50MP primary camera with OIS
50MP ultra-wide lens
50MP front camera
We also look forward to seeing the ultra-wide lens improved, as it lagged behind competitors such as the OnePlus 13R in retaining detail. Improving this camera would help get the V60 closer to being a complete camera option.
Expected Upgrades
Until now, the teaser has only validated a couple of upgrades chiefly the battery and design. Vivo can, however, utilize the opportunity to further differentiate the V60 in the sub-₹40,000 category. The following are some areas that are expected to see an upgrade:
✅ Improved Ultra-Wide Camera
The V50's extremely wide shooter, though colourful, was short on detail and sharpness compared to devices such as the POCO F7 or iQOO Neo 10. Vivo can improve this lens to the level of the rest of the camera setup.
✅ More recent Processor
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC has been good enough for the V-series in both the V40 and V50. But in 2025, it is beginning to feel old. With competitors providing Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chips within ₹40,000, holding on to the same chipset once again might frustrate users concerned with performance. A newer SoC would enhance raw performance, as well as assist in games and AI-driven tasks.
✅ Faster Charging?
While not established, a quicker charging system than the V50's 80W would be an welcome upgrade with the added battery capacity.
The Vivo V50 was a good mid-tier smartphone that outdid others in terms of design, battery life, and camera capabilities, particularly for everyday creatives. With the Vivo V60, it seems Vivo is strengthening the formula again. The new looks, huge battery in a compact body, and ongoing emphasis on Zeiss-powered cameras make the V60 a powerful force in the premium mid-range space.
While we wait for complete specifications, launch date, and price confirmation, initial hints suggest that the V60 might find the perfect balance of style, power, and ease of use in everyday applications. If Vivo is able to deliver substantial improvements in processor performance and camera optimization, the V60 might be among the best mid-range launches of the year.
