Vivo is all set to expand its V-series lineup in India. Vivo is soon going to launch the Vivo V70 FE smartphone, which will be the third model in the V70 series, joining the V70 and V70 Lite models already available in the country. Vivo has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming V-series smartphone; the Vivo V70 FE will be officially launched on April 2, 2026. This upcoming smartphone is designed to compete in the premium mid-range segment and features significant improvements in battery capacity and camera hardware. According to the latest reports and promotional teasers, the device has been confirmed to launch at 12:00 PM Indian Standard Time. It will be launched via a digital livestream event. This smartphone will be available for purchase on Amazon and Vivo's official channels.
Notably, a “Fan Edition (FE)” variant is being introduced to the Vivo V-Series for the first time, positioned below the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite. The phone will feature a 200MP camera, though it will lack ZEISS branding. Vivo has teased a new and distinct design for the device, which will set it apart from the other V70 models.
Let's talk about the pricing, the Vivo V70 starts at ₹45,999, while the Vivo V70 Elite starts at ₹52,999. The Vivo V70 FE is expected to be priced between ₹30,000 and ₹40,000, although the company has not yet released any official information regarding its price. The Vivo V70 FE is entering a highly competitive market, where consumer demand for high-resolution photography and long-lasting battery life remains paramount. This phone will compete with the Reno 15k, Redmi Note 15 Pro+, and Realme 16 Pro+.
The phone will feature an oblong camera module similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S26, housing two camera rings, a ring light, and "200MP" camera branding. The device will sport a Flat Edge Design, with the power and volume buttons positioned on the right side and a speaker grille located at the top. According to the microsite hosted on the official website, the V70 FE will be available in two color options: Northern Lights Purple and Monsoon Blue. It utilizes a photoluminescent material; specifically, in the first color variant, the rear panel begins to glow when exposed to UV light or sunlight.
In terms of the display, this smartphone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This display will offer a 1.2K resolution and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The new phone is IP68 and IP69 certified, making it suitable for underwater photography. Additionally, it will come equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, dual SIM support, and an IR blaster.
Photography remains a key highlight of the V-series. The Vivo V70 FE features a 200MP OIS-enabled main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. It also sports a 50MP selfie camera for front-facing photography. Additionally, it is likely to include an ultra-wide lens and a macro or depth sensor, offering a versatile shooting experience. Powered by AI, the device is said to be capable of zooming in up to 30x and shooting at various focal lengths of up to 85mm. The camera can lock onto moving subjects using the Super Motion Snapshot feature. It also comes equipped with a host of AI features.
The same phone will feature a large 7,000mAh battery, which will come with 90W fast charging support and also support bypass charging thereby helping to preserve the battery's health. Overall, a long battery backup is expected.
The Vivo V70 FE is set to launch as a camera-centric and battery-powerful smartphone. Its 200MP camera, 7000mAh battery, and large display could make it a strong contender in the ₹30,000–₹40,000 price range.
If Vivo launches this phone at the right price point, it could become the most value-for-money smartphone in the V-Series.
