Vivo X300 FE Launched in India With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 6,500mAh Battery and ZEISS Cameras

The latest release in the category of high-end compact smartphones is now available in India, courtesy of the Vivo X300 FE. Referred to as the successor of the successful X200 FE series, the newest device by Vivo continues with the brand’s policy of providing a flagship-like experience in terms of cameras and other advanced features in a small smartphone. The device completes the trio in the Vivo X300 family and comes after the regular X300 and below that particular model.

Vivo X300 FE

The latest addition to the Vivo range does not have the best-in-class flagship-level chip but comes with the closest alternative in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor from Qualcomm, a bright LTPO AMOLED screen, cameras supported by the renowned brand ZEISS, wireless charging capability, and an extremely large 6,500mAh battery capacity.

Vivo X300 FE Price in India and Availability

Vivo has launched the Vivo X300 FE with two different memory configurations in India. The entry-level configuration is available at the price of Rs 79,999, which has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage capacity. The second option with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage capacity has a price tag of Rs 89,999.

In addition to the phone, Vivo has released its new generation telephoto extender along with the device. The Vivo telephoto extender costs Rs 15,999 on its own, and the accessories kit costs Rs 3,999.

As a special offer, Vivo will bundle the phone along with the accessories kit for a total cost of Rs 95,997, as compared to the regular price of Rs 99,997. The Vivo X300 FE sale in India will commence from May 14 through various online and offline sales channels.

Premium Design

One of the most notable aspects of the Vivo X300 FE is its small size and premium look and feel concept. While many smartphones nowadays have turned into chunky pieces of technology, Vivo has maintained a design concept where the FE series models continue to be small and handy for single-handed operations.

In terms of dimensions, the phone has 150.8 mm in height and 71.8 mm in width. At the same time, despite having such a huge battery as 6,500 mAh, the smartphone is still thin, and it weights around 190 grams.

The company has decided to create a new look for the camera module, which now resembles the design used by Pixel and iPhone phones. This design choice also contributes to the increased stability of the device since the camera is placed towards the upper side of the mobile gadget. In addition, the company uses premium aluminium for the body and adds a glass back. In terms of protection, the device comes with both IP68 and IP69 ratings.

Performance

Running on this phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which puts itself in the sub-flagship segment but provides impressive performance when it comes to day-to-day tasks, gaming, and multitasking.

It is also available in devices such as the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R in India. With LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, this smartphone will offer quick launching of apps and improved performance during gaming sessions.

Even though it falls just behind the regular Vivo X300 in terms of performance, it is not something that would affect the average user.

Display

Just like its predecessor, Vivo has kept the same 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, but this is not necessarily a drawback either. The display still comes with an impressive 1.5K resolution, coupled with ultra-narrow bezels as well as adaptive refresh rates between 1Hz to 120Hz.

In addition, the display boasts support for HDR10+ which will allow for playback of high-quality videos on streaming sites such as Netflix and YouTube. With its use of LTPO technology, the display is capable of switching to various refresh rates to conserve energy consumption.

One of the highlights of this year's model is its ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. This feature performs better than the common optical sensors as far as speed, precision, and accuracy when scanning are concerned, especially when there are minor drops of water on the finger.

ZEISS Cameras

Indeed, it is still the main reason why people buy a Vivo X300 FE. In fact, Vivo is collaborating with ZEISS once again to provide customers with a quality photographic experience even though this phone is relatively small.

As for its cameras, there are three main ones on the device, and here they are:

  • 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization

  • 8MP ultra-wide camera

  • 50MP Sony IMX882 3x periscope telephoto camera

Although the hardware configuration has not changed that much since last year's release, the company decided to bet on the improved ISP of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 to make the photographs look better.

In particular, the 3x periscope telephoto lens should attract many fans of photography and other people who like making content with such a feature. The company offers the new generation of ZEISS Telephoto Extender that increases the focal distance up to 200mm.

It is worth noting that Vivo has significantly reduced the weight and size of the second-generation telephoto extender compared to the previous generation, making it more convenient for people who often shoot content. Talking about the front camera, there is a 50MP ZEISS selfie camera on this phone.

Massive Battery

Battery capacity is yet another factor that distinguishes the Vivo X300 FE from others in the market. The phone features an extremely powerful 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery despite its relatively small size.

In other words, silicon-carbon battery technology enables producers to make batteries more compact. This means that battery life will be great even with intense use of the smartphone.

Moreover, the phone offers 90W FlashCharge wired charging, along with 40W FlashCharge for wireless charging. Thus, the X300 FE is one of those rare devices that can boast high battery capacity and fast wireless charging at the same time.

Android 16 Out of the Box

Vivo X300 FE comes with OriginOS 6 powered by Android 16 straight from the box. There have also been promises of four major Android upgrades and six years of security upgrades from Vivo for the smartphone.

Such a large-scale commitment when it comes to the software side of things means that the device will be up-to-date even until 2032.

Based on the Vivo X300 FE’s specs, it is apparent that the phone aims at individuals looking for a device with flagship-grade camera capabilities and high-end hardware in a more convenient form factor.

Rather than obsessing about raw benchmarks, Vivo has tried to offer a balanced package instead.

From a camera system backed by ZEISS technology, Snapdragon-based chipsets, top-notch build quality, wireless charging support, IP69 rating, and an enormous battery, there is little left to wish for for photography lovers and content creators.

However, for people with an interest in accessories for mobile photography, the X300 FE gains another feather in its cap by offering the Telephoto Extender Gen 2 kit without needing to buy the pricier Pro and Ultra variants.

For anyone looking for a compact device with flagship-like capabilities, the Vivo X300 FE might very well end up being one of the most exciting premium smartphones released in India this year.
