Vivo has started teasing details about its upcoming Vivo X300s ahead of its launch in China, and this time battery life seems to be one of its key highlights. The company has officially confirmed that the Vivo X300s will feature a massive 7,100mAh battery, the largest ever in an X-series phone. Whereas last year's Vivo X200 had a 6200mAh battery. It's accompanied by an advanced cooling system and new performance optimization features aimed at improving gaming and everyday use.
This phone will launch in China as the Vivo X300s, refuting earlier rumors that suggested the model would launch as the Vivo X300 Max. The smartphone is expected to launch in the coming weeks alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra, which the company teased during MWC 2026 Barcelona. With the X300 series, Vivo is preparing to expand its flagship lineup to suit different user needs.
While Vivo's X-series has typically been camera-focused, the Vivo X300s places a greater emphasis on battery life and multimedia experiences. This battery is part of Vivo's Blue Ocean battery system and utilizes Vivo's fourth-generation silicon anode technology. This results in a significant increase in battery capacity. The 7,100mAh battery can provide long battery backup for gaming, video streaming and heavy usage users. The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro launched earlier had a battery of around 6,500mAh, whereas now the company is making it bigger and bringing it to the level of competition.
In terms of display, the Vivo X300s will feature a 6.78-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This will be the first phone in the X-series to feature a 144Hz refresh rate. According to the company, some MOBA games will support gameplay at up to 144fps, improving the gaming experience.
The phone will feature symmetrical dual stereo speakers, providing a superior audio experience. The Vivo X300s will also feature an upgraded Ice Pulse Fluid VC cooling system, featuring a large vapor-chamber heat-dissipation plate. The company claims this will improve heat management during demanding tasks like gaming. It also features a custom vibration motor and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. It features Ultrasonic Fingerprint 2.0 technology, allowing users to unlock the phone even with wet fingers and is 15 percent faster than the previous generation. USB 3.2 Gen 1 support will also be provided, making data transfer speeds faster than the USB 2.0 ports on many smartphones. This smartphone will replace the Vivo X200s in the lineup and will be available alongside the X300, X300 Pro, and X300 Ultra. According to reports, the company internally considered calling it the X300 Max, but later decided to call it the X300s.
According to leaks, the phone may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Instead of being limited to gaming, the bypass charging system now powers the device during everyday tasks like video streaming and reading articles. Vivo is also introducing new power-management solutions. One of these, called MicroPower Genie 2.0, is designed to restore apps or tasks if the phone suddenly shuts down due to low battery. This could be useful for things like unfinished photo edits or games.
For the camera, it is expected to feature a 200MP Zeiss-tuned camera sensor, a 50MP Periscope Telephoto lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front camera. Reports also suggest 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support, although the company has not yet confirmed this.
The Vivo X300s will target users who want a flagship phone with long battery life, strong performance, and a great multimedia experience. For those who want the most advanced camera, the X300 Ultra could be a better option.
