Infinix has finally launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the Infinix Note Edge, after teasing it for over a week. To begin with, it appears to have a familiarity factor associated with it, and not for nothing. Infinix’s latest smartphone takes quite a bit of design inspiration from Apple’s latest iPhone 17 Pro lines, specifically in the raised housing of the rear camera and even the design of the rear panel itself. To a point, the initial teaser design of the orange-coloured model of the smartphone didn't feel all too different from Apple’s vibrant orange colour scheme. However, all of this design inspiration indicates and suggests one simple thing Infinix wants its latest smartphone, the Infinix Note Edge, to signal its design grandeur right at the time of unboxing.

The familiar experience doesn’t end with the hardware. The Infinix Note Edge comes with XOS 16 built right into it, with the operating system based on the latest Android 16. This makes the Infinix Note Edge the first device from the company that arrives pre-installed with the latest version of the operating system right from the box. The user interface of the operating system takes a big cue from Apple's iOS 26 Liquid Glass design philosophy and incorporates features such as frosted elements and lighted elements everywhere in the operating system. The move by Infinix may be seen as incorporating different design elements from different ecosystems.
Further add to its upmarket appeal the ‘Edge’ branding, which is an indication of the phone's curved display, a trend often featured by Samsung in the lagers models. The curved display not only makes the phone appealing to the eye, but it also remembers the phone slim. With such a blend of an iphone look and Samsung touches, it seems that Infinix is building a phone that costs more than its actual retail price.
Physically, the Infinix Note Edge is just 7.2mm thick and weighs 185 grams, thus slim and comfortable for daily use. Depending on the region, it either comes with a 6,500mAh or 6,150mAh battery, both of which are respectable for such a phone. According to Infinix, the battery should retain at least 80% of its capacity even after 2,000 charge cycles, which should equate to roughly six years of reliable usage. It supports up to 45W fast charging, taking it from zero to 100% in about 62 minutes, hence assuring users who are always on the go of very minimal downtime.
On the front, the Note Edge boasts an amazing 6.78 inches curved AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 1.5K and a refreshing rate of 120Hz. Thus, this ensures smooth and sharp footage. In addition, the display boasts an incredible touch-sampling rate of 2,800Hz. So, this ensures better responsiveness, as seen while gaming or fast actions. Lastly, this display boasts an incredible peak brightness of 4,500 nits. As such, this ensures that this device is perfectly viewed under direct sunlight. Moreover, this display boasts ultra-slim bezels measuring 1.87mm and is further reinforced by protection from Gorilla Glass 7i. Lastly, for media consumption, this device boasts dual speakers optimized by JBL. Thus, this ensures an incredible audio output.
Internally, the smartphone is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, which is further combined with the support of up to 8GB of RAM. The camera of the device is controlled by a 50MP main sensor. The biggest addition in this lineup comes in the form of the customizable side button. The button allows you to access Infinix's Folax AI assistant. You also get the IP65 rating here. This allows the smartphone to be protected against dust. This adds another layer of protection to the device.
The Infinix Note Edge comes with colour variants like Lunar Titanium, Silk Green, Stellar Blue, and Shadow Black, meeting the requirements of users seeking both subtle and flashy colour options. The device is priced starting at USD 200 (Rs 18,200), making it fit squarely into the mid-range market. Although the local price has not been announced, it appears that the device provides great value for money based on the specs.
On the whole, the Infinix Note Edge is primarily a design-oriented and display as well as battery longevity-centric smartphone. It will be a success story if the device performs well in real-life scenarios in terms of its imaging capabilities, software consistency, and overall ruggedness after extensive use by consumers and reviewers. Given the intense competition in the mid-range segment from the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung, the latest device from Infinix will have to demonstrate its capability to deliver on substance as well.
