Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava International has decided to put more emphasis on its low-budget 5G offering with the launch of an upgraded model of one of its most popular low-budget smartphones, the Lava Bold N1 5G. Launched in September 2025 along with other models such as Lava Bold N1 Pro as a part of the Bold N1 range of smartphones, the smartphone in discussion has now been upgraded to accommodate multitaskers.

Lava Bold N1 5G Pricing and Availability
The standout feature of this latest iteration is the recently announced 6GB RAM/128GB storage version, which has been priced at Rs 12,999 but comes with a temporary offer price of Rs 11,999. The phone will hit the market from May 1st through online channels like Amazon, thereby giving buyers yet another alternative in the fiercely contested budget category.
With the introduction of this variant, the total number of variants in the Lava Bold N1 5G range now stands at three:
4GB/64GB storage – Rs 7,499
4GB/128GB storage – Rs 7,999
6GB/128GB storage – Rs 12,999 (Rs 11,999 offer)
While most budget phones in the current market scenario have only 4GB RAM, Lava’s decision to offer the upgraded 6GB RAM may very well turn out to be a good strategic decision as modern applications start requiring more RAM capacity.
Specifications
Internally, the Lava Bold N1 5G relies on a Unisoc T765 chipset, which focuses on usability and basic 5G connectivity, but is not suitable for gaming purposes. Although not everyone's cup of tea, this device will suffice for regular messaging, internet surfing, and entertainment activities.
Speaking about the screen, the Lava Bold N1 5G comes equipped with a 6.75-inch HD+ panel with an impressive refresh rate of 90Hz. The performance of the panel makes multimedia viewing as well as games more enjoyable. Such capabilities are considered good when it comes to budget smartphones, as the use of high refresh rate displays becomes more common.
Lastly, in terms of battery capacity, the Lava Bold N1 5G has a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. A day's worth of usage should be possible without any difficulties. At the same time, other manufacturers' phones in this segment have already reached such a battery capacity level as 7000mAh (e.g., Redmi 15C).
Camera and Software Experience
From the optical perspective, the Lava Bold N1 5G includes a 13-megapixel rear camera supporting 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing one. Although the fact that this phone can record 4K videos is definitely a positive aspect in relation to its low cost, overall performance is rather basic, just like it is with most budget phones.
As far as the software is concerned, the Lava Bold N1 5G comes pre-installed with Android 15, which is great news. The company guarantees two system upgrades to the latest version of Android and three years of security updates, which is certainly a good choice for those seeking long-term use. Lastly, the phone features an IP54 certification, which makes it resistant to dust and water splashes.
Looking into the practicality of the device, it is clear that the Lava Bold N1 5G is meant for newbies of 5G technology and for people moving to 5G after using 4G handsets before. With the new inclusion of 6GB RAM variant, multitasking has become easier in the Lava handset.
Another advantage offered by the brand is its free home service in India, making it convenient for customers living in small towns.

Undoubtedly, the Lava Bold N1 5G can be regarded as a pretty decent budget option boasting of great user-friendliness, efficient performance, and even more RAM than before. Thus, it can definitely attract those buyers who have decided to invest in an affordable phone which will serve them well.
Nevertheless, it can be considered that the Lava Bold N1 5G is not the best choice for those who prioritize camera functionality since this aspect remains rather disappointing when it comes to the phone.
It can be stated that the Lava Bold N1 5G can become a good option for upgrading to the 5G world from older phones at a reasonable price level.
