OPPO Reno 15c and OPPO Pad 5 Launch in India With Big Batteries AMOLED Display and Productivity Features

OPPO has further expanded its presence in the competitive Indian mid-range market with the launch of the OPPO Reno 15c, and a new productivity tablet in the OPPO Pad 5 series targeted at enabling productivity with its sleek and modern design, large batteries, and comprehensive software features, thus reiterating OPPO's commitment to offering a unique blend of style, endurance, and productivity without having to invest in a premium device.

OPPO Reno 15c

OPPO Reno 15c Design & Durability

Although the Reno 15c sports the familiar look of its Reno 15 series, the Indian model definitely diverges from the China-focused one. OPPO has taken great care to make the Reno 15c appealing to its Indian audience by concentrating on the aspects of the device that matter the most to a significant number of people in this category: durability, battery life, and cameras.

The smartphone sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ display that is made of AMOLED material and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display is highly visible even in brightly lit environments as the highest points of brightness can go up to 1,400 nits. The AMOLED display is capable of providing deep blacks and rich colors that can further increase multimedia experiences.

Snapdragon Power Meets Android 16 Experience

On the performance front, the Reno 15c is backed by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor that is a mid-range processor which ensures an optimal mix of efficiency and performance. Coupled with a maximum RAM of 12GB, the smartphone performs well for multitasking such as switching between apps, browsing, as well as performing gaming-related tasks. The phone comes with an operating system operated by Android 16 and ColorOS 16.

One thing that makes the Reno 15c different from other phones is its design and build quality. OPPO has ensured that the phone has IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, which makes the device dust, water, and water jet splash resistant. Although water resistance in the mid-range segment is not common, the Reno 15c offers a unique feature in that aspect as well.

Camera Setup

The cameras are an integral part of Reno series smartphones, and the Reno 15c is no exception to this trend. On its rear panel, this smartphone packs a 50MP main camera sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as a 2MP macro camera that enables consumers to click high-quality images from different angles.

At the front, OPPO packs a powerful 50MP front camera capable of shooting 4K video content. This is quite an attraction for people who are vlog creators, content creators, or even those who want high quality video calls. The Reno 15c comes with this feature.

Massive Battery

Battery life is one of the standout features the Reno 15c has to offer. The smartphone features a massive battery with a capacity of 7000mAh, so you bet you’ll be using the phone all day long and even more than that, given you are a heavy user of the screen. However, to make up for that, OPPO has included 80W SuperVOOC charging support on the smartphone, so you can charge the battery quickly and resume with whatever you were doing before. This is the effect the Chinese innovation in the mid-budget segment has on smartphones.

OPPO Reno 15c Price and Availability in India

In the Indian market, the Reno 15c will offer Afterglow Pink and Twilight Blue variants. The starting price of the smartphone has been set at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage model, and the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage version will be priced at Rs 37,999. The sales for this smartphone will begin from February.

OPPO Pad 5

Alongside the Reno 15c, OPPO has released another device in India, which is named Pad 5. It is important to note that the Pad 5 by OPPO is different from the Chinese Pad 5 variant in the global market. Instead, it is actually a rebranding of the Oppo Pad Air 5, which is also available in the international market in the name of OnePlus Pad Go 2. This is made for users wanting a bigger screen along with an accompanying stylus in the affordable segment.

The OPPO Pad 5 comes with a 12.1-inch LCD screen that boasts a sharp 2.8K resolution and a special 7:5 aspect ratio. The device is equipped with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 900 nits of brightness, along with Dolby Vision, creating a superior viewing experience for users.

Performance

The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, supported by 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device is designed to run all daily tasks smoothly, ranging from taking notes to browsing, video playback, and productivity functions.

Both the front and back cameras boast an 8MP camera, adequate for video chats, online tutorials, and scanning documents. Among the greatest additions to its functionality is its compatibility with the OPPO Pencil 2. This tool features fast input, refined handwriting, and artificial intelligence-powered note-taking. OPPO boasts up to 20 hours of pencil use with only a 10-minute charge giving a full 12 hours.

This comes with a rather large battery with a capacity of 10,050mAh and fast charging of 33W. This, according to OPPO, can last for up to 53 hours of music playing or around 15 hours of online video browsing.

ColorOS 16 for Pad and Audio Experience

ColorOS 16 for Pad, the OPPO Pad 5 comes with enhancements in functionality, including the introduction of the Flux Home Screen, Quick App Launch & Switch, and the ability to keep a maximum of 12 apps running at a time. This is a great boost to multitasking and productivity, particularly with a keyboard and a pen.

Sound is managed using the quad-speaker system that provides loud and immersive sound during movies, gaming, and video calls. The tablet can be had either Wi-Fi-enabled or with 5G connectivity, providing the user with flexibility depending on their needs.

OPPO Pad 5 Price, Offers, and Availability in India

The OPPO Pad 5 starts at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB Wi-Fivariant, and at Rs 32,999 for the 256GB storage with 5G support and an additional 8GB RAM. As part of its launch offer, OPPO offers a flat discount of Rs 2,000 or nine months of zero-cost EMI. The pre-orders for the device are already up, and its sales will begin from January 13, 2026.

The OPPO Reno 15c is a good option for those who want quality battery life, sturdiness, and a high resolution front camera perfect for creators. Nonetheless, it is worth considering other models that offer more powerful hardware for those looking for performance. The OPPO Pad 5 is a versatile offering that packs quality display performance and battery life. The tablet is perfect for customers seeking a gadget not only for entertainment and learning purposes but also for professional use.
